Talking to the moon

"Baby I have to go now but remember, I lovr you and im so proud of you" Mia said with a sad smile, she hated being away from her sweetheart. "Do you have to go?" Char said visibly upset, "yes sweetheart im sorry but remember, when you miss me talk to the moon, that way itll be like talking to me since I see the same moon okay baby?" Char had a slight smile but was still upset to be away from Mia. "okay, i love you" char said trying not to cry, work had been so stressful recently all she wanted was her readhead to come home and hug her. Mia saw the sadness in Chars eyes, Charlotte didnt know but Mia was coming home tonight.

It was around 9pm and Char was sitting at her window with her book. "I cant wait for you to be home" she whispered looking at the moon. Mia was at the gate waiting to be called for boarding, she looked out of the window up at the moon, "ill be home soon sweetheart" she whispered, she hated being away from Char. She saw her phone light up, "my sweetheart 🖤".

Char: I miss you, night night 🤍

Mia: I miss you too my angel,
have a good sleep 🖤 

By the time Mia had landed it was 2:37am,
Charlotte should be asleep by now. Mia smiled thinking about Charlottes smile while she was sleeping, it always made her heart melt. Before she knew it she had pulled up outside her sweethearts house, she slowly unlocked the door with the key Char had given her. She headed upstairs and noticed Chars light was on, "maybe she just forgot to turn it off" she thought in her head. As she approached the door she heard a small voice, "I cant wait for you to be home permanently, the girls miss you so much, not as much as me though" she heard Char giggle slightly before she heard a sniffle. She opened the door slightly, "sweetheart im home" Char looked over at Mia shocked before running over to her and throwing herself around Mia, "I love you" she said between sniffles, "I love you too, lets get you to bed now hm?" She responded wiping chars tears away with her thumbs. Char nodded in response before nuzzling her head into Mias shoulder.
