Chapter 12-Cheerleading 101

Waking up was definitely not fun. For starters you were somehow on the floor, Lynn was on top of you, practically smothering you with her long hair, and it was freezing. The two of you headed to school, Luan, Luna and Leni obviously following you into the building.

Class was long and boring until you made it to second period. Which again, was long but less boring. It was more of a free day so you and Lynn talked most of the time. Finally the end of the day came which meant practice. You went to the locker rooms and changed into shorts and a t-shirt. Although it wouldn't be warm, you knew you'd end up boiling because of sweating and exercise. You made your way out to the field and began stretching while the coach waited for the rest of the girls.

Lynn sat out doing her own thing for basketball. After a few minutes, the other girls came out and started their stretching. "Alright ladies! First day of cheer practice and guess what we're starting with?" The coach asked.
"Cheers?" A small meek girl asked.

"Indeed. Stand up ladies!" The coach said. Within minutes you and the girls were up on your feet, waiting for her next instructions. She began assigning 3 girls, per senior captain to practice. You ended up witha girl named Jessa, you'd never heard about her before but oh well.

She led you to do small cheers, simple ones. Most of which you hadn't even heard of, maybe they were just new for the year, most teams often did that. You had most cheers down flat with a few rotations and you soon felt like you could cheer at a game if she'd let you. The coach didn't miss your skill and called you up, along with two other new cheerleaders. "You three are doing quite well, so if you're up for it, you guys can cheer with the seniors."

You took that and agreed. Now you were super pumped up. You hadn't expected that at all, but who were you to turn down their offer. Cheer practice continued and you moved into practice stunts with some of the other girls. You had been placed as a main flyer which didn't bother you whatsoever.
You guys practiced some tumbles and then added in some stunts with that. One of the ones you agreed to try was not easy, so you had loads of catchers ready in case. The coach asked that the basketball team watch and help catch in case someone fell, which said a lot about how dangerous this could be if it went wrong. They started by lifting a girl up, who then pulled up another girl. They then had you do a cartwheel into a group of girls who lifted you next to the two.The girls lifted you until you were on the shoulders of another. You weren't standing, just sitting on the shoulders.

You were still scared though. Because if the girl below you fell off the hands of the other girl, you went with. You just looked up with a smile and waved as thought there was a crowd. Lynn watched in amazement before you leaned over and pulled off the girls should and were caught by another. You thanked the lord that you hadn't fell. You and the team continued practicing that same stunt whilst the basketball team went back to their practices, still paying attention in case.

Eventually it feel dark and Lynn walked you over to the gate where you'd waited for her dad. "That was a good stunt. Good thing you didn't fall." She said, looking over at you. Lynn was thinking about if this was the moment to tell you.

"Yeah." You rub your eyes, "I was internally freaking out, I could feel Jessa shaking below me and was convinced she was going to fall." That wasn't a lie, she was shaking like a leaf, you'd think there were poisonous spiders all over her.
"Well good thing she didn't, don't need a cracked noggin." Lynn said, she decided to muster up her courage and tell you, "Hey Alessandra I really-" The sound of a honk had interrupted her.

"Sorry, what were you going to say?" You asked, walking in the direction of the vanzilla.

"Nothing, I'll tell you later." Lynn said. Yeah she is not telling you later, she only said that because of how embarrassed she was. And also pissed, of course she finally got the courage to tell you and her dad ruined it. The drive back was silent, she felt so awkward what is she going to say? When the vanzilla pulled up, you and Lynn climbed out, going straight for the living room. After Lynn Loud Sr left, you and Lynn changed, passing short glances at eachother.

You both sat on the couch and binged some disney movies. Lynn felt the weight of your head on her shoulder and kissed your forehead before turning off the tv. She laid you down next to her before she laid down herself and went to sleep. She should have told you anyways but it'd have to wait another day she supposed.
