Marinette's POV

I took a deep breath "Uhh.....what are you guys going here?" I questioned. I knew deep down exactly why they're here. But I have to keep it at a low. The best option is to stay calm.

"Don't play dumb you skank!" Yelled Chloe.

"I'm sorry, excuse me?" I replied back, trying to seem confident. I see how hard this is going to be.

"Pfft, don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about." Chloe went back to her shit eating grin, seeing that I was visibly offended. "We all know you dressed like a hoe to get Adrien's attention." She continued. I was a bit shocked to hear what she had said, as it was an insecurity of mine when I originally put on the dress. But I can't let her find another one of my weaknesses.

"So?" I replied "What does that have to do with anything."

Her teeth somewhat grinded together at my words.

"Adrien is only using you know? I mean who wouldn't?" Lila laughed right in my face.

I felt a lump start to form in my throat, what if that's actually...NO! Stop it! I have to defend myself and Adrien.

"Adrien would never do that!" I yelled at them, while holding back my tears as best I could. I know I was showing how much that got under my skin, but I didn't know what else to do.

"You wanna bet?" Chloe held up her phone to my face. It was a picture.........a picture of her and Adrien kissing. It showed Adrien's back turned towards the camera, but I could tell it was him.

"That's fake! You jealous little shit." I yelled back at her. I got scared, this can't be true.

Her face went to an angry expression. She removed the phone out of my face.

"Don't you dare call me that! Who do you think you are?" Said Chloe. Just then a flying hand came bolting towards my face. I shut my eyes and braced for the said impact.

I didn't know what had happened. I felt my body heat up immensely.

I opened my eyes and saw Lila whispering in Chloe's ear, while holding her hand, as if to stop the slap. Chloe still had a raging face that slowly grew weaker as Lila spoke. I couldn't hear what Lila was saying, but I knew it wasn't good.

Lila backed away from Chloe's ear, and grinned. "Adrien could never love someone like you Marinette. Remember that." Said Lila, they walked out of the room. The music played more transparently, then went back to its muffled state once they closed the door.

I stood there stunned, I was confused, angry, and most of all sad. I know I have trust in Adrien, a lot of it, considering he's Chat noir. But....what if I'm just filler. I know he loves ladybug. He always has. And I know that's me, but...he fell for Ladybug, not Marinette. I feel like he doesn't deserve me, in the sense that he deserves someone better. I don't know what to do.....

Standing there for a couple minutes to process what had just happened, I looked towards the door. "Maybe it's best to go home......" I said to myself. I cracked open the door and pecked through. There were just as much people as there was before. The music blasted my ears, as I pushed through the crowd. I'm just glad I was able to keep it together, and not break down crying like I wanted to. It was a stupid idea to show up anyway.

I found Alya still playing the same game.

"There you are Marinette.....where have you been!?" Said Alya, looking directly at me, she made so much commotion that it made everyone at the table look at me to.

I rushed over to her to whisper in her ear. "Alya, i think i wanna go home....."

"Wha..already?" She said in a stammered voice. She was drunk out of her mind.
