But he was the real thing and a force to be reckoned with.
And I surrendered without a fight."

"Just want to know you Bury you in black But that – woe is me – siren Stabs me in the back Just wanna love you Anything will do And that's just When it all comes true"

I leave my penthouse with two bodyguards following me closely. Jisung promised to keep me informed about Hye-rin, but in the meantime he insisted on me being surrounded by at least two scary six-and-a-half-foot-tall guys everywhere. I didn't fight him on it and he smiled pleased.

I walk into my office at the real estate agency, a calm resignation taking over me. I have the feeling that something has changed irrevocably. It might be over, I think... Yesterday's crazy events may well have sealed the end of our story, Hyunjin's and mine.
Still, I feel sad.
I bury myself with work, amidst piles of dossiers for new properties and trying to keep my mind occupied but still, I keep checking my phone for any new messages from Sung or... anyone, I guess.
A soft knock on my office door brings me out of my thoughts. I don't expect clients this early -my secretary finally understood the 'no appointments before 10 AM' rule, so it must be Naree. I left her hanging yesterday. I have no idea where she went after I ran out of the club like that or if she is aware of what happened with that vamp girl.
I think I should apologize to her.
With this thought in mind, I answer, expecting her to walk into my office. "Come in." I sigh, my attention returning to the papers in front of me.
The door opens and closes quietly and I hear someone enter but it doesn't sound like a woman. The faint scent of roses and spice fills my nostrils. My head snaps up, my eyes focusing on the person standing a couple of meters away from me.
"Hyunjin..." I look at the tall raven haired vamp, startled.
I never expected him to come to me after our fight, convinced that he didn't care. I wanted it to happen so badly, but I didn't believe it would. Since he never came to make sure I was safe after Hye-rin... I know, I know...
And so, I just stare at him with my disbelieving eyes. I can feel the pain colouring my expression. I don't want to. I don't want him to feel guilty about what happened. But he has an equally pained expression on his handsome face.
