"So what are you wearing to your engagement shopping Palak?" Ragini teased me playfully while sitting on my bed and munching on a plate of raw mangoes. Diya and her laughed hysterically and I shook my head watching those two with folded arms.
It was two thirty in the afternoon and we needed to reach the mall by three. Alot needed to be done for the engagement, including preparing myself mentally for it. We needed to shop a lot of things and thankfully the work had been divided. Yet every passing second was stressing me out. Not because tomorrow was my engagement but because in just a week my life would change completely. I will leave behind everyone and everything I have ever known. And getting out of my comfort zone was never exciting to me. If anything I was terrified. Especially when everything was happening so fast.
I shook my thoughts away and I began searching my closet for something to wear.
"Please don't tell me you are gonna wear traditional clothes again." Ragini groaned and I rolled my eyes. But then I remembered something.
"Wait is masi going?" I asked them. They both looked at eachother and then at me.
"Well I don't think so." Diya replied taking a bite of a raw mango piece which was mixed with chilli power, black salt and chat masala.
"I don't think anyone is gonna ask her either." Ragini said this time.
"Um hm. And it's better if she stays in her room today and...rests" Diya replied mumbling the last part to herself. Her face became a bit gloomy as if lost in deep thought.
"Alright girls let's get ready. And Ragini please wear something accurate. Roshan's parents will be there." I told her drawing my eyebrows together and she looked at me with big eyes.
"What do you mean? I always wear everything accurate!" She whined.
"Sure" I chuckled and so did Diya.
We all quickly got ready. I chose a gorgeous maroon suit with golden embroidery. It was a plazo set, one of my favourites. I quickly applied a little makeup, curling the ends of my hair, applying a beautiful fragrance,I sealed the look with a deep maroon lipstick and big golden jhumkas.

And after much persuading Ragini finally settled on a beautiful pink, purple suit. And she looked radiating in it. The dress complimented her small slender face, big doe eyes, heart shaped lips and curvy body.
