"She couldnt've gotten far. I mean this was a small island afterall." Blate tried to calculate the island.
"Did you see how she ran? Like a lightning bolt. Man, I wish I had those power. Fire power, lightning bolt legs." Star didn't feel excited anymore about her power.
"HAH.. Earlier you were bragging about your power, now you're insecure about it?" Blate teased Star.
"Nyeahh.. I mean... between cool wings and fireball.. I'd choose fireball."
Blate released a big sigh, understanding her friend's behaviour. The sun has set. They took too long on tracking the girl's trace.
"Say, we haven't eaten anything. I'm starving.." Blate pleaded and retarded her walk.
"Welcome to my life, Blate.. we stole to eat." Star preceded Blate and walked backward.
"Huff.. I got some money in my pocket, you think this amount could get me some?" Blate stretched out her palm, there were a few coins. The currency in this place was called Pins for paper money and Peyns for coins.
"Hm.. not bad.. I guess you could get a bowl of noodles."
"You know the best place for noodles?" Blate asked
"Yea, you know.. money that much can be spended for two.." Star satired.
"Ow really? You said you stole to eat. Why don't you now? Instead of bothering my money." Blate raised one of her eyebrow.
"Hwaw.. is that how you treat a friend, huh?" Star couldn't believe what she heard.
"Hah.. I'm just kidding, didn't know you're a serious person.." Blate teased her.
Star pouted.
"What are you waiting for? Come on, show me the way.." Blate tried to lighten Star's mood.
She also pulled Star's hand. Star almost fell but she quickly got her balance back.
After walking a few miles, they finally arrived at a restaurant, not a fancy one. But, at least this would eased their hunger.
A sign caught their attention.
'NO PET ALLOWED'
"Sorry Blord, you gotta stay outside." Blate apologized to Blord.
"We promised to eat as fast as we can." she continued.
Blord put a sad face, to make Blate changed her mind. But, rules were rules.
Unlike Blate, Star just let go of Noak. She knew that Noak would always came back to her no matter what.
Long story short, they've eaten bunch of food. Looked like Blord's already made a friend with Noak. Luckily, they stayed at the side of the restaurant.
"Whoa, I've never had this feast for a looong time.." Star yawned.
Blate approached Blord and Noak, crouched down to their level, ignoring Star's yap. Apparently, Blate had spared some of her food for Blord and Noak. She put some of the food on the ground for Noak. For Blord, she let it ate the food from her hand.
"Here you go, told you I'd be fast." Blate smiled genuinely as they devoured the food that she brought. Blate was glad they appreciated the food she brought.
Star didn't think that far about sharing her food with her bird. At first, she thought that bird don't eat those kind of thing. But looking at Blate that cared more about the bird than its own master, making her felt a bit guilty. Therefore, she didn't say a thing anymore to Blate nor rushing Blate to get back at tracking the stranger's trace. Star only stood awkwardly, looking and also waiting for Blate.
"You likin' it, too huh, Noak? Hehe.. Glad you like it." Blate chuckled, while petting the bird's head.
Noak pecking the food that Blate put on the ground. A few minutes later, the sun has set and they've done with their business. Leaving sight on Star for some minutes, she already passed out, sleeping like a drunk man. Snoring, too. Not too loud, but when Blate approached her to woke her up, she heard a slow snore from Star.
"Hey, wake up, sleepyhead."
Blate wiggled Star's shoulder gently.
"Ngrokh, huh? what? oh.."
Star looked startled, perhaps she was having a good dream.
"Come on, we got things to do.." Blate said it to Star while skipping walk away.
Star slowly rose from her position, trying to catch some senses into her head. Then, she moved her view to the side.
"Hey, Noak.. I just had a bad and good dream.."
Cuit..
Noak put its head to the side, to signified that it was curious.
"The good dream was I just had a frast that I haven't got in such a loong time. Then, there' the bad dream where I must chase this motherfucker that could've killed me. Did that make some sense to you?"
Noak couldn't stand her, and just flew away, leaving her.
"What a bitch.."
Star shook her head while chuckled.
Star did not undertand Blate' s excitement to meet this person. Star was already lazy to meet this person, considering this person was almost killed her.
"She probably went this way, it's the only hidden place, I guess..." Blate pointed at an alleyway
"This alley is near my place..."
" SEE.. TOLD YA.."
Blate what Star was informing about and slowly walked into the alley.
"Urghh.." Star rolled her eyes.

"Hello??" Blate touched the sleeping girl.
"Man, I think she got knocked by something.. perhaps this wood?" Star picked up a block of wood.
"She's unconcious. You said that this alley lead to your place right?" Blate looked worried.
Star who was looking at the wood, moved her head slowly and changed her face expression, after she realized what Blate was saying.
"No.. oh nononononooo.. Heh.. You're really gonna bring this killer into my home?? What if she harmed my friends there?" Star disagreed.
"Star, what's your problem? This girl is literally scared, i think she was very far from her homeland." Blate trying to put some senses into Star's head.
"SCARED?? I'M SCARED. You cared more about this new stranger that you just saw seconds ago than me? She almost killed me, Blate.. If she put her firy hand in my head. I'm dead. Done. No more Star." Star almost scream.
"You-"
Before Blate finished her sentence, a quirked sound was made by something. Star who was facing Blate, could saw what was making that voice. Blate was very confused of Star's sudden face expression changed. From anger to scared. Star shushing Blate and pointed her finger to a side wall behind Blate.
Blate slowly looked back, a pair of glowing eyes in the dark, a pair of devil's wing, ready to attack them. Realized that they were in danger, they stepped back.
It also growled slowly, Blate first response was lifted the stranger body, the body wasn't that heavy. Star took a peak at Blate
"Think you can run while carrying her?"
"Uhuh.."
Brak brak brak, Star didn't take another seconds, just ran as fast as she could, followed by Blate.
She then commanded her body to open the wings. Her beautiful wings grew, and she started floating. Leaving Blate. Noak followed Star of course.
The devil looking thing still chasing them.
"Waitt.." Blate shrieking.
Blord was also scared of the thing.

Star was finally alone, she amazed that she could fly as high as the cloud. When she was above the cloud she closed her eyes, embraced both of her hand and felt the air around her, she could also see the full moon up close. It's peaceful up there. However, she couldn't stay longer, the air suppression could choke her to death.
After she pleased herself with the surroundings, she dropped her body without consent, keeping up with the gravity.
WHOOSHH..
She opened her wings again and flew with the wind, when she was almost hit someone's roof. She really just enjoying herself that time. Noak couldn't keep up with her, its wings were tiny. Afterall, Noak was still a baby.
"ISN'T IT FUN? BEING FREE, AND NOT SCARED AT ALL.." Star talked with loud voices.
It is likely that her voices could be heard by the people around the block.
After having some fun of flying with the wind, she sat on top of the old castle. She may also thought about moving here. But, it is impossible since the castle was one of the city's icon. It couldn't be used for a place to stay.
The inside can't, what about the rooftops?
Star was thinking until Noak appeared. She then remembered about Blate.
"Oh, Blate.. I thought you would understand."
Noak sat beside her, listening to her.
"Am I a bad friend, Noak? Too selfish huh? I know. But, it can be justified, right? I had some reason to not letting the stranger stay..." Star took a moment to think.
Noak just looked at her with some pity. Noak saw a different side of Star. A proud, enthusiastic, stubborn girl, turned into a fragile teenage girl. And jealous?
"AURGHH... WHY DOES EVERYBODY ALWAYS PUSH ME AWAY??"
Star kicked a brick until it was fallen down. She didn't stop there, she also kicked everything around her while murmuring horrible things to herself (also to the stranger that she thought took Blate from her). Noak seemed sad, understanding her feelings. But, Noak couldn't do anything.
After she vent all of her anger, she fell on her feet. Crying loudly like a wolf that had lost its mother.
In the middle of her crying, she heard footsteps and a voice calling her.
"There you are, Star. I was so worried that you'll be hurted by that thing..."
