Chapter 5: Desperate Measures

The air was thick with tension as Naruto, Sasuke, and Jiro faced the Otsutsuki. A malevolent aura surrounded their enemy, an embodiment of ancient power that pulsed with every heartbeat. The creature's eyes glowed ominously, reflecting a twisted hunger for chakra that seemed to resonate through the very fabric of reality.

Jiro clenched his fists, his expression a mix of determination and fear. "We can't let him siphon off our chakra. If he succeeds, it won't just be us; he'll destroy everything!"

Naruto nodded, his resolve solidifying. "We'll fight together! No one gets left behind this time!"

With a fierce battle cry, the three lunged at the Otsutsuki. The clash was immediate and brutal. Sasuke unleashed a flurry of Shuriken, while Jiro summoned his shark-like agility to dart around their enemy, looking for an opening. Naruto activated his Rasengan, channeling his chakra into the swirling sphere of energy.

But the Otsutsuki was ready. With a flick of his wrist, he created a barrier that absorbed the attacks effortlessly. A mocking grin spread across his face. "Foolish children. Your struggles only delay the inevitable."

"Let's see how you handle this!" Naruto shouted, channeling more chakra into his Rasengan as he charged forward.

With a roar, he launched the attack, but the Otsutsuki simply raised a hand, creating a shield that shattered Naruto's attack into a million harmless shards. The shockwave sent Naruto sprawling back, landing hard on the ground.

Sasuke took advantage of the distraction and activated his Sharingan, focusing intently. "We need to coordinate our attacks! Jiro, you flank him from the left. Naruto, I'll create an opening, and you go for a decisive blow!"

Jiro nodded, his expression fierce. "Got it!" He darted to the left, using his speed to avoid the Otsutsuki's counterattacks. As he moved, he thought about the power within him—the legacy of his father, Hoshigaki Kisame—and he was determined not to let it go to waste.

Sasuke began weaving through hand signs, preparing his signature Chidori. The air crackled with energy as he focused all his chakra into the attack. "Now!"

As Jiro distracted the Otsutsuki, Sasuke surged forward, his Chidori blazing. He thrust his hand forward, aiming for the Otsutsuki's chest. For a fleeting moment, it looked like victory was within reach.

But the Otsutsuki was quick. He dodged, spinning on his heel to deliver a brutal counterattack. Sasuke was sent sprawling, hitting the ground hard, gasping for breath. The Otsutsuki then turned his gaze on Jiro, who was still dodging and weaving.

With a flick of his wrist, the Otsutsuki unleashed a wave of energy that sent Jiro crashing against the wall of the building. The impact left him stunned, and the Otsutsuki approached, a cruel smile on his face.

"No more games," the Otsutsuki taunted, raising his hand to deliver the final blow.

"Get away from him!" Naruto roared, forcing himself to his feet. He could feel the anger boiling inside him, igniting a familiar fire in his chest. Jiro was fighting for their future, and he wouldn't let this monster take him away.

In that moment, a surge of chakra erupted from deep within Naruto. Memories of his Journey flashed before his eyes—Jiraiya, Neji, Mom and Dad the Peace they fought for, The War, the deaths all of it. It hit him like a tidal wave, filling Naruto with Newfound strength. 

"Rasenshuriken!" Naruto shouted, thrusting his arms forward as a massive, swirling blade of wind energy manifested, radiating raw power.

The Otsutsuki turned, eyes widening as the attack hurtled toward him. The energy sliced through the air, threatening to obliterate everything in its path. But just as it was about to connect, the Otsutsuki raised a hand, creating a barrier that absorbed the attack—but this time, Naruto felt the barrier strain.

"You think this is enough?" the Otsutsuki mocked, but Naruto could see a flicker of uncertainty in his eyes.

"Enough of this!" Sasuke shouted, rising to his feet. "Together!"

Naruto and Sasuke combined their attacks, Jiro's spirit pushing them forward. They charged, Naruto in front with his Rasenshuriken, and Sasuke following closely with a Chidori. They unleashed their attacks in unison, the combination of wind and lightning surging toward the Otsutsuki.

But the Otsutsuki, now aware of their growing power, unleashed a devastating counterattack, creating a shockwave that knocked them back. The ground trembled beneath them as they struggled to regain their footing.

"No!" Jiro shouted, trying to rise, but it was too late. The Otsutsuki focused all his power on one final, catastrophic blow.

"Enough of this charade!" he screamed, launching a beam of energy that consumed everything in its path.

In that moment, Jiro made his decision. He pushed through the pain and lunged forward, using the last of his strength to intercept the attack. The moment was frozen in time as he absorbed the brunt of the energy, his body disintegrating in the process.

"JIRO!" Naruto screamed, horror gripping him as the energy consumed Jiro completely.

The Otsutsuki's laughter echoed through the air, but Naruto felt something inside him snap. Rage, sorrow, and determination converged into an unstoppable force. "I won't let you get away with this!"

With a renewed sense of purpose, Naruto unleashed his power, channeling every ounce of chakra he had left.

But the Otsutsuki was ready. A powerful surge of energy enveloped the battlefield, and in the chaos, the Otsutsuki vanished, retreating into the shadows.

Defeated but not broken, Naruto and Sasuke held each other up. "We have to go... now!" Sasuke urged, realizing they were outmatched.

Using Sasuke's dimension-jutsu, they created a portal to Konoha. As they stepped through, Naruto looked back one last time, determined to honor Jiro's sacrifice.
