The last few weeks have been different from my usual life. I have been fighting a lot more in these past few weeks. Fighting with Ruhi. After what happened at the cafe, she tried to annoy me multiple times. From dropping juice on my shirt, to pushing me away, so that I don't sit on her seat, she has been furious. I don't react much to her silly actions because I don't really care. But I don't know what came into me that I agreed to go on this trip. The only reason for why I am going on this trip, is to annoy her.
I don't even know why, but when it comes to her, I can't stop myself from fighting with her. Once when I called her a witch, well, she wasn't looking like one, but she doesn't need to know that.
When she bumped into me a few days ago, I, for the first time, observed her. She is pretty, with perfect features. I couldn't look away from her. But after I realized what I was doing, I cleared my mind and did something even I was surprised that I did it. I lifted her up, in my arms, just to win from her. She was-
Okay, shut up Siddharth! Stop thinking about her.
Right now, I am getting ready to leave for the trip. We are meeting at a nearby cafe and from there, we will leave for Lonavala in Naman's car. I tied my shoelace, took my bag and left for the cafe.
As I was walking towards the cafe, I saw Ruhi a few steps ahead of me. Carrying her bag with one hand, she used her other hand for using her phone. I decided not to call her because I wasn't in the mood of fighting.
As I was walking behind her, she suddenly stopped, making me stop too. She turned around and saw me and started thinking about something while looking at me. I started walking and went ahead of her saying, "Walk fast, I don't want to wait for anyone after reaching the cafe."
She blinked a few times and then, while walking, said, "Good morning to you too, Monster!"
I looked at her, not expecting that nickname. "New nickname, huh?"
She just shrugged and started walking faster, going ahead of me, still using her phone.
"What are you even doing on the phone for so long?"
"Creating a playlist."
"What playlist?"
"Travel playlist, obviously!"
"What is the need of that? "
"Oh yes! How would you know? A boring person like you won't know the fun of a road trip!", she rolled her eyes.
I couldn't help but think about that one time when I went on a trip with my parents. They had to go out for work, and I was too small to stay alone, around 3 to 4 years old . I remember how they just handed me a phone and told me to quietly watch nursery rhymes. I watched it, singing along with the animations as they sang and danced on the device. I remember how my mom scolded me saying "You are disturbing the peace, don't you have manners? Just shut up and see the phone quietly!"
