Friction to Affection

Prologue

The morning sun rose, its soft rays invaded Victoria's room, covering it in a golden hue. The peaceful atmosphere of her room was broken by the alarm ringing loudly. She jolted up, her eyes darted to the clock and she realized that it was 9 in the morning.

"5 minutes more please.." she thought and plopped back on her bed and curler up in a blanket burrito. After a while, her mother's yelling was heard as she barged in her room.

"wake up sweetie! You are getting late for work~"

Victoria groaned loudly and whined out..

"ughhhhh mum!! I just wanna sleep for a few more minutes! Its not like anyone cares if I'll be late."

Her mother gave her a disapproving look and shook her head while she spoke in a stern tone.

"You stupid girl, you are no longer an employee but the CEO of the damn company."

As If on cue, her phone rang. Victoria gingerly sat up and picked up the call and spoke in a sleepy yet annoyed tone.

"who is this and what the hell do you want?!"

There was silence. Just when she was about to hung up the call, a string of 'Ma'am' was immediately heard. Victoria was startled but then she realized that the person talking on the other side of the phone was her assistant. She exhaled loudly and ran a hand through her messy hair and spoke in a calm tone.

"yes, what do you want?"

"ma'am the CEO of AP company is already here! You had a meeting with him remember?! Where are you?!"

Victoria's assistant spoke in a very panicked tone as if he'd pass out any minute.

Her eyes widened and her head snapped to the bedside clock to check the time.. And it was 11:30 am while her meeting was held on 11:00 am. What the hell?!

"DAMN IT!!"

Victoria yelled loudly as she ran to the bathroom.

"Mum!why didn't u woke me up earlier?!"

She complained from inside the bathroom while she was taking a bath. Her mum pouted while puffing out her chubby cheeks.

"you, you, you... Irresponsible brat! Do you even know how many times I tried waking u up?! But noo.. U just had to sleep as if there's no tomorrow!"

Victoria came out of the bathroom and she just rolled her eyes when she heard her mother scolding her. Without any other word,she grabbed her purse and her car keys and ran away. Her mother was flabbergasted by the chaos.

"hey!! What about breakfast?!"

Her mother said but Victoria was already gone. She immediately drove to her company like a maniac. While she was driving, her thoughts drifted off to the CEO of AP company.. Like how would he look, how would he act, etc etc.

She finally reached her company and got outta her car and stared at her company proudly cause folks SHE is the CEO of this company~
