Chapter 9: A Crazy But Unbroken Mind

A couple minutes ago with Mario and Peach...

It had been a few hours since Meta Smg4 locked himself in the room and when the two went to check up on him, they heard him sleeping so every now and then Mario or Peach would check up on him. This time, it was Peachs turn so she walks to the bedroom and knocks on the door hoping that Meta Smg4 has woken up.

Peach: You awake, Meta? Dinner is ready...

Peach waits for a response from Meta Smg4 only to hear him still sleeping. So she walks back to see Mario finshing the dinner Peach made which was mac and cheese.

Mario: Still sleeping?

Peach: Yep...

Peach says as she sits down next to Mario.

Mario: When Meta said to leave him be, I didn't think it would be for this long. It's been 6 hours since we got back and he's still sleeping.

Peach: I know and sorry if mac and cheese isn't fulfilling enough for you. I'm still getting used to being human so I just thought I would start small.

Mario: It's fine, Peach besides I'm feeling the same way when it comes to having control of my body again.

Mario says as he kisses Peach on the cheek making her blush as he gets up, cleans/drys the bowl and spoon, puts it away then sits down next to Peach.

Mario: I'm glad, there's another bed here.

Peach: Same, tho I wonder why Meta didn't tell us about it?

Mario: Probably because he wanted to tell us about the giant room.

This makes Peach chuckle and remember how Meta was acting when he was telling the two about the giant lab room he had found.

Peach: Yeah... you know, Mario I'm worried about him.

Mario: I am too. Meta is like a child still trying to learn about the world even though we've taught him alot. Yet he's stuck in the body that has hurt everyone for the last 13 years and he can't do anything about it... I feel really bad for him.

Peach: We both do, Mario plus he has got alot of different powers.

Mario: Yeah, it's insane... but if Meta does gets new powers, we'll help him right?

Peach: Of course, we will. Besides I think we're the only ones that will help him.

Mario: That's... true.

Mario says as he leans against Peachs left shoulder and they hold each other hands. The two smile as they look at each other for a little bit then she gets an idea.

Peach: Mario, is it alright if I use your phone? I have an idea that will bring back good memories for us.

Mario: Sure.

Mario gives Peach his phone then goes on Youtube and searches up "Strangers in the night" by Frank Sinatra then presses the video and skip the ads. Only for Peach to pause it before the song started playing then she gets up and offers her hand to Mario as she puts his phone on the table.

Peach: Tell me, Mario. Do you remember the dance we always did before... all of this happened?

Mario: Of course, I do. If I didn't I would be a terrible boyfriend.

Peach: I'm glad you do and even if you did forget, I wouldn't call you a terrible boyfriend.

Peach says as she presses starts on the video and the song begins playing as Mario grabs her hand and gets up. The two dance slowly for a bit then Mario spins around, lets go of one of Peachs hands, moves his body to the side, goes back to Peach, grabs her hand then the two quickly kiss and part away.
