Meera's POV:
As the days turned into weeks and the weeks into months, my relationship with Xavier blossomed beautifully.
We were taking things slow, and honestly, I was grateful for that—his patience made me feel safe.
Life in Moscow was surreal. The city's charm, with its vibrant streets and rich culture, captured me. And being with Xavier only added to the magic. He was incredibly supportive in both his personal and professional life, making me feel cherished.
Today, I could sense something special was in the air. Xavier had mentioned taking me out for dinner, and I felt a flutter of excitement. We hadn't had a proper date since I arrived, and I was eager to see where he would take me.
After he finished his work, I got ready, choosing the stunning white dress that hugged my curves just right. I felt beautiful, but as I applied my makeup, I couldn't help but feel a mix of nerves and anticipation. I wanted to impress him.
When he walked into my room, my breath caught in my throat.
He looked incredible in his tailored white suit, and the way he looked at me made my heart race. As he leaned down to whisper, "You look stunning, darling," I felt a rush of warmth.
Then he fastened a sparkling diamond pendant around my neck, and I could barely hold back my blush. "Now you look even better," he said, and my heart soared.
Taking my hand, he led me downstairs to where Marco was waiting with the limousine. As we arrived, Marco greeted us with a deep bow, and I couldn't help but smile at the warmth of the moment.
As we drove through the bustling streets, I couldn't shake the feeling of excitement mixed with confusion when I realized the restaurant was empty. "Why isn't anyone here?" I whispered to Xavier; my curiosity piqued.
His response took me by surprise: "Because I booked this entire restaurant for us this evening." My heart fluttered at the thought of such a grand gesture.
After we were seated, I watched as he confidently ordered his favorites along with a vintage wine. I admired the way he spoke to the waiter and the manager, feeling a swell of affection for him. We shared stories about our lives, our dreams, and our families, and I felt more connected to him than ever.
When the food arrived, it was a feast for the senses. We continued to talk and laugh, and with every bite, I savored not just the meal but the warmth of our conversation.
I felt like the luckiest woman in the world.
After dinner, we returned to my room, and I was still buzzing from the evening. I rubbed my belly, feeling full and happy. "The food was so delicious. I'm so full, Xavier," I said, smiling.
But then, in a moment that felt like time stood still, I looked into his eyes and leaned in. My heart raced as I pressed my lips against his.
Did I really just do that? His lips tasted sweet, mingled with the wine, and I melted into him.
As we pulled away, resting our foreheads together, I whispered, "I—I want you, Xavier." My heart was pounding.
Did I really say that?
When he asked if I was sure, I nodded, feeling a rush of courage. "Yes, I am."
In that moment, everything felt right. I had taken a leap, and I knew he was the one I wanted.
