Zeke:Thank you for this one, Beatrix. The feathered cloak makes my wings blend in nicely.
Bea:Well, those wings are practically a cloak themselves, so I figured it fit.
Nova:Nova still doesn't like hers.
Bea:It's mostly to cover your horn and face, Nova. That thing sticks out like a sore thumb.
Nova:*groans*Fiiine. Nova will wear it, but she still thinks it's bullshit that Abs can wear a hoodie.
Abby:I have my witch robes, too. They're just in my bag.
Claire:I'm just gonna hope this face mask and jacket will be enough for me, but dear God, my wings feel squeezed in this.
Bea:I offered you a cloak.
Claire:I'll be fine...now where's Lucy?
Lucifer:I'm here, I'm here...What's with his outfit?
Kane:I look awesome, don't I?
Lucifer:You look tacky...but the clothes under it look nice. Anyway, is everyone ready?
Nova:Nova's ready!
Kane:Same here. Let's get moving.
Lucifer:Good...and Ezekiel, here's the money for any boarding or...whatever you need.
Kanea:Hey! Why don't I get the money?!
Lucifer:I think you know why...O'Fallon, right?
Claire:Mhm.
Lucifer:Alright...seriously, though. Take your time.
Kane:Don't worry.  Know you'll miss us soon enough.
Lucifer:Veeery funny.
Zeke:I'll make sure to keep them in line.
Lucifer:I don't care what you all do out there. They can burn the state down for all I care.
Nova:Promise?
Kane:Don't worry, Nova. We'll get to that point another time.

A pentagram opened up, and everyone but Lucifer and Beatrix filed through, ending up just outside a woodland overlooking a rural town. Everyone surveyed the area, and Nova tried running off, only for Ezekiel to grab her arm.

Zeke:Don't go running off. We just got here.
Nova:But Nova wants to explore. She's never seen Earth before.
Kane:Alright, everyone. I'd say to follow me, but I got no fucking clue where anything is here. Sooo, let's follow Claire.
Zeke:That's probably the smartest thing you've said all week.
Kane:I literally explained the entire smelting process to you two days ago!
Zeke:Oh, you did? Sorry, I wasn't paying attention.
Kane:...
Zeke:See? It doesn't feel good being blatantly ignored, does it?
Kane:Jackass.
Claire:Alright, kids. Let's get moving... and please don't draw any attention to us. This place is...old fashioned. I'm looking at you, Kane.
Kane:Wooow. Not even gonna mention Nova.

Everyone followed behind Claire, making their way into the town. They looked around as they made their way deeper into the suburban town, noticing children running around and people talking in their lawns. Claire let out a soft chuckle, then turned to Kane.

Claire:I believe I remember where we are. We're about a fifteen minute walk from my old house.
Kane:Damn, this'll be a quick trip then. I can't wait to burn that place down.
Claire:Kane, don't burn it down. My dad's a drunk douchebag, but my mom has done nothing wrong.
Kane:Alright, I'll drag him out and burn him.
Claire:That's better...but do it away from my mom. It's still a scary thing to watch.
Kane:Yeah, yeah.
Nova:Nova wants to take a bite of the tiny chickens. They look delicious.
Zeke:Nova, those are children. Don't you even try it.
Nova:Nova was just joking...mostly...so, where are we going again?
Abby:We're headed to where Claire grew up.
Claire:Yaaay, gotta love that. Can't wait to see my old man again...part of me hopes they don't recognize me.
Kane:I know they won't recognize me. I'm a grown man now.
Zeke:Is that so, short stuff?
Kane:Well, fuck you too.
Zeke:*chuckles*I'm proud of that one.

The group kept walking for a few more minutes before Claire stopped in her tracks. Everyone turned to what she was looking at and saw a line of houses with one in particular reduced to a pile of ash and charred wood. Kane looked at his hands, then back at the rubble.

Kane:Uhhh, that wasn't me.
Claire:I know. I know who did this... *mumbles*no one even cleaned it or rebuilt it. These heartless bastards.
Abby:O-Oh no, who's house was that? Was that yours?
Claire:No...Kane, uh...this was your place.
Kane:Really? Man, my family has a habit of getting into fire related incidents.
Claire:And you can blame Galloway for that. He personally burned it down after he...after he...*clears throat*A-Anyway, the house to the left is mine.
Kane:Ooooo, how convenient.
Claire:Do uh...do you wanna handle it?
Kane:Fuck yeah, I do. You all stay here.

Kane walked up to the front door, then knocked a few times. The group watched from the sidewalk as s the front door opened and an older woman with black and gray hairs, a black dress, and a gentle smile.

???:Hello, young man. Is there something you need?
Kane:Heeey...uhhh, I'm looking for your husband.
???:My husband?..Um, are you sure you have the right house, dear?
Kane:Mhm. Looking for a middle-aged man, brown hair, horrible alcoholic.
???:That...sounds familiar.
