As they entered the Mechanism Energy Hub, Serval took one look at the control panel and let out an exasperated sigh, hands flying up to the screen in disbelief.
Serval: Ugh! Who designed this operating system? It's like they were trying to make it as unintuitive as possible!
Dan Heng raised an eyebrow, maintaining his usual calm demeanor.
Dan Heng: Perhaps they just wanted to keep it secure. Overly complicated systems often make intrusions difficult.
Serval: Well, they certainly succeeded in making it difficult for anyone with a brain, that's for sure. Let's see... Emergency Fire Evacuation System... definitely not that... Rock 'n' Roll Dance Floor Atmosphere Mode-wait, what? Who in the world added that!?
March 7th perked up, curious.
March 7th: Rock 'n' Roll Dance Floor Mode? Are you serious!? And why does it have your name on it, Serval?
Serval squinted at the screen, muttering under her breath.
Serval: And they used one of my songs! Unbelievable... who would even play that down here? Like, are they holding secret dance parties in the dead of night?
Seele smirked, crossing her arms as she watched Serval's frustration grow.
Seele: Guess the Silvermane Guards know how to keep their spirits up.
Stelle, ever so casual, chimed in with a grin.
Stelle: Hey, maybe it's for morale. Could be they break out the moves every time someone resets the system.
Serval sighed, her finger finally tapping the right option on the screen.
Serval: Gear Bridge Control Terminal-ha! Finally found it!
With a confident tap, Serval reset the energy system and finally looked back at the others, a grin lighting up her face.
Serval: There we go! System reset and bridge terminal ready. And no, we're not testing out the dance mode.
March 7th gave a playful pout.
March 7th: Aw, Serval, what if it's a good song? I bet you've got a great playlist hidden in there somewhere!
Stelle snickered, raising an eyebrow at Serval.
Stelle: If we're not dancing, let's at least get the bridge working before someone realizes we're here.
As they moved purposefully toward the gear bridge terminal, March 7th sidled up to Serval, her brow furrowed with concern.
March 7th: Um, Serval... won't there be, like, a whole bunch of Silvermane Guards waiting for us on the other side of the gear bridge?
Serval just shrugged with a casual grin.
Serval: Yup.
March 7th's eyes went wide
March 7th: Then... what's our plan!?
Serval: ( chuckled, completely unfazed. ) Well, either we reason with them... or we charge straight through the blockade. Simple as that.
March 7th: Uhhh... you sure that'll work?
Serval raised an eyebrow, glancing back at her with a smirk
Serval: March, with our luck? It'll either work perfectly... or create a whole new mess. We'll play it by ear
Dan Heng, who had been quietly observing, finally chimed in, his voice steady.
Dan heng : I'm more concerned about conserving our energy. If we rush through every encounter, we might exhaust ourselves before we even reach the Stellaron.
