Beauty and the Bassist (Murdoc x reader)

(Y/n)'s Nightmares on Plastic Beach

As soon as (y/n) and Murdoc and 2D along with Cyborg Noodle are currently on Plastic Beach, (y/n) had been getting unsettling images from both her past and her current situation. Everything seemed to have a sort of connection to her. Both awful and the worst. She brushes it off just for the sake of being with her boyfriend. Murdoc was happy his girlfriend is here with him so he is not going mad. His sanity was questioned, but now stabled due to her just being there for him. Without him realizing the toll it would take on her mental health.

With 2D stuck on the island, Murdoc left the island to go grab some food for everyone. (Y/n) was left all alone with Cyborg Noodle. 2D was in his own freedom so she thought giving him his space would be more efficient.

(Y/n) drifted off the sleep as she watched the moonlight in the sky full of stars. That was her only escape... until the escape became her trap. (Y/n) could talk about her hellish nightmare in detail; The nightmare started with me in my old apartment not moving to find Murdoc being hurt. His face was badly bruised up. When he got closer, he started crying blood. Anytime he would start talking, he was distorted. Anytime he stopped talking, he had blood come out of his mouth. I couldn't move. I couldn't talk. I wanted to help him. He then was dragged by 2D. 2D was also crying out blood, but looked angry at Murdoc. He was a mindless zombie. He was a monster. 2D then start biting him enough where chunks of blood and body parts were scattered around the room... (y/n)'s hands started to shake... then I saw Dinah as 2D was violently eating out Murdoc. She yells in my ears calling me names. Murdoc was still crying out for help. Then my ex's come in to try to tare me apart limb from limb. I tried to scream, but there was no sound. At least not in the dream.

2D was actually up at that time (y/n) fell asleep. 2D added; I remember going to the kitchen to grab a few things to snack on while continuing to make the new album 'The Fall'. Then I heard screaming. I stopped what I was doing and went to the master bedroom. Murdoc asked; You went into my bedroom?! 2D answered; Your girlfriend was in there screaming. What else was I supposed to do? You weren't there!... Anyway, I ran up to (y/n) who was screaming bloody murder. I tried to wake her up. When I did... she looked at me scared like... like if she saw a monster...

2D had his eyes taken away from him by Murdoc. Making 2D looking like a zombie for a very long time. 2D always hated what was forced upon him. He would sometimes cry in the middle of the night due to nightmares and migraines he has, but emotionally... he hated what he is. 2D sat on the end of the bed to try to help (y/n), but she was so scared. Poor StuPot. Forever grateful he is alive, but... just barely.

2D said facing away from her; "I am a monster. I mean look at what your boyfriend did to me... I know you don't truly think I am a monster, but... I can't help it." He started to cry. (Y/n)'s body was less stiff and slowly crawls towards StuPot. She hesitates as her hand was reaching his shoulder. (Y/n) said; "I was just checking to see if this was another nightmare or not." Stuart felt the girl's gentle hand on his shoulder. He looked towards her as she said; "You are not a monster. You are just a sweet boy with many talents who just was somewhere at the wrong time... I'm sorry for getting scared... it was just a nightmare I had. I'm so sorry." 2D turned his body towards the crying scared girl. He holds her in his arms as she grips his shoulders. Her head on his shoulder while her hand was gripping on his shirt. She cried and cried as Stuart petting her hair holding onto her back. He whispered; "It's alright Darling~. Shh... shh shh... it's alright... you are safe. You are not alone. I'm right here when Murdoc is not around. You can always come to me." (Y/n) felt his warm embrace making her heart rate drop drastically. 2D picks her up to inly have the two lay on the center of the bed. 2D playing with (y/n)'s hair with his fingers while (y/n) laid her head on his chest listening to his heartbeat. He asked; "What was the nightmare about anyways?" (Y/n) took a deep breath and told him in very vivid detail about her nightmare. 2D was surprised to know her mind could be that dark. (Y/n) said; "Yeah it was very bad. I'm sorry."
"Why are you sorry?"
"Because I told you a nightmare that is very scary and I know how..." "Love, it's alright. I promise," 2D interrupted, "Everyone has nightmares. It's how we cope with it is the tricky part... I never had a nightmare like that..."
"Well there was one other nightmare I had a night prior. I was left on the island. You all were gone. Murdoc included. He went with Dinah while I was stuck on Plastic Beach."
"I had that dream, too. It's a relief that someone else had that dream."
"How?"
"It's reassuring because I am not alone."
"Stuart..."
"Yeah?"
"Can you stay here until I fall asleep?"
"Of course."
StuPot and (y/n) both eventually slept in Murdoc's bed. It was only for several hours, but it was the most pleasant sleep the two have ever had in a long time. StuPot woke up before (y/n) could. He looked around him to realize how bad this would look for her boyfriend. He carefully picks up (y/n) to only carry her to the living room. As soon as he places her on the couch, he kisses the top of her head and leaves to go to his room.

The dawn of the morning comes in and Murdoc comes back to see his girlfriend on the couch. He puts away the food and walks over to her. He kneels down to face her. She cried so much, she can't even speak to him. Her eyes puffy, her face red, and her hair all messed up. She laid there motionless. Murdoc touched her cheek to only say; "Darling, what's wrong?" (Y/n) blinks a few times to properly look at her boyfriend. She replied as her voice was broken; "I want to go home. I love you so much baby. I just want to spend time with you away from this island. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner." Murdoc was heartbroken that it led to this point in the relationship. Murdoc knew he had to make the right move. He said with a smile; "We will all go home... The last thing I want to do is to make you feel trapped... We'll all leave together."
"Really?" She asked with her eyes filling up with hope again. Murdoc nods his head. (Y/n) thanks him by giving him a kiss and a hug. Murdoc forgot how it felt to really hold someone. Mainly his girlfriend.
