Beauty and the Bassist (Murdoc x reader)

Point Nemo

While spending many years, since the release id Demon Days, with his girlfriend on an around-the-world bender, the two began running low on cash. Both Murdoc and (y/n) were stuck in Mexico. While he became a gun runner and was selling faulty weapons in Mexico in order to make fast money, (y/n) was taught how to shoot with a real gun he gave her just in case she needed to protect herself from harm while Murdoc is ever away. Murdoc lined up old beer bottles for her and she would shoot them. By the time she did a few rounds every day, she would get better and better with her aim and her speed. This is just in case she is the inly last hope for Murdoc and Cyborg if anything of them are in any danger.

Murdoc, later, explained to his girlfriend the main real reason for leaving the UK. It was because he was on the run from a gang of pirates called "The Black Cloud" who purchased the broken weapons from him the last time he was in Mexico. Now armed with new, working weapons, they began to hunt Murdoc down as an act of revenge for ripping them off. (Y/n) had grown out of patience and started to argue with him. Murdoc yelled back in defense. She would start crying when things were getting too intense. He would break things and scream. It was full blown chaos.

Murdoc recites; It was our first ever fight. I didn't like how we felt during it. Yes, I thought I was winning, but ended up sleeping on the floor while (y/n) was sleeping on the bed all by herself. Actually, This-This was the first of many fights we have been having for a bit before we hid on Plastic Beach.

While the two were sailing the world for somewhere to hide, Murdoc discovered an island made entirely out of a floating landfill which he would call Plastic Beach. He would use the insurance money to erect a new Gorillaz HQ on top of the island and began working on demos for the Plastic Beach album. He built a robotic copy of Noodle called Cyborg Noodle. It was trained to be both Murdoc and (y/n)'s body guard. (Y/n) would hide in the master bedroom while Murdoc would be all over the island. (Y/n) couldn't care less what he does or how much money he has. She hated the mere fact that Murdoc was getting distant from her.

The two got into the biggest fight of their relationship. To the point where Murdoc would put his hands on her again. This time slapping her. When she lost her balance and fell on to the ground, this made Cyborg Noodle go crazy. Attacking Murdoc with punches and kicks. (Y/n) grabbed the robot to place her back on her charger station. Murdoc noticed the damage he had done to her and Cyborg. (Y/n) raced out of the new Gorillaz HQ and decided to sail across the sea to get away from Murdoc.

Murdoc retells; I remember feeling really heavy inside. As if someone was trying to choke me. When she left, I was completely devastated. Which is very uncharacteristic of me, but it's true. I hated the fact that I put my hands on her again. It was the first night I slept all alone. It was so empty. I was going mad. I couldn't sleep properly, I couldn't eat, I couldn't do anything without my own girlfriend being there with me... I began to think how lucky I truly was. She was my everything.... And- and I lost her.

(Y/n) adds; I just needed to get away. But leaving Murdoc was the hardest thing I had ever done. I hated the fact that I had to take a break from him in order to make our relationship better and stronger. I felt bad for leaving him. I wanted to let him know I was coming back, but... I was so afraid I was gonna get hit again.

Murdoc looks at him girlfriend while holding her hand; Darling, I-I'm so sorry. (Y/n) kisses the center up of his hand and forgives him. The two got back to retelling their story.
