Chapter 6

Grayson's pov

My eyes widened. "Julia? Heather? What are you guys doing back in town?" I said getting up to greet them. "Our dad had to come on business, so we came to visit too" Julia smiled at me. Julia and Heather were Ethan and I's girlfriends two years ago, before they moved to California. "Cool, this is our friend Maddie, she is staying with us because.. uh.." I didn't know how to finish so I looked at Maddie. "Uh.. I just had stuff going on at home thats all." Maddie said and I mouthed a thankyou. She winked. "Anyways, guys wanna watch some movies with us?" Ethan asked the girls and they nodded. We all sat down on the bed, Maddie standing up. There was no more room on the bed... oh my god I feel bad.. Maddie sat on the ground. We put on another horror movie. Whenever Julia jumped I hugged her, and she giggled. I glanced over at Ethan, who was cuddling with Heather. With that, I glanced over at Maddie, who's eyes were glossy. I felt so incredibly bad... especially since I seem to be leading Julia back on, but I'm with Somer, and I love her so much. Heather screamed at one part, and Ethan soothed her. "Shhh baby.. its alright, I wouldnt let anything get you" he said and they kissed. Maddie stood up and trudged out. Ohhhh no..

Somers pov

I was really bored, so I decided to go see my Grayson. I got to the house and let myself in, because Mrs Dolan told me to not bother knocking anymore haha. I went upstairs and into Ethans room, where I found them watching movies with these two twins.. their exes.. that moved away.. and Julia is sitting on Grayson's lap... and Ethan is making out with the other one.. Wait. Wheres Maddie?! Grayson spotted me finally and his eyes widened. "Baby.. it's not what it looks like." woah. Am I crying? this is different. I am just now realizing how heart broken I am. "Oh yeah? Than what is this?" I snapped. "but-" I cut him off. "I dont want to hear it. Where is Maddie." I snapped. Ethan stopped kissing Heather and looked around. I rolled my eyes. I am like. Realling mad. "I dont know.. She bursted out. Seemed upset." Grayson trailed off. "And you don't bother trying to see whats wrong?! She has been through alot you know! What if she tries to hurt herself? Some friends you are" I said, letting them have it. Before leaving, I whispered. "We are done" with tears falling down my cheeks. I went to find Maddie, shes my best friend, and right now, we really need each other. I went to the bathroom downstairs and heard quiet sobs. I pick locked the door and sat on the ground with Maddie. I hugged her. "Somer... I really do have no chance..." she sobbed. "No. You do. Or.. I dont know. I'm sorry Madds" I said. She sniffed and wiped her eyes. "Did you find out about Grayson?" she asked guiltily. I wiped a tear off my cheek. "Yeah... I ended it with him." I said and put my hands over my face. "Somer I am SO sorry... I know you love him.." Maddie soothed and hugged me. She tapped my shoulder. I looked at her and she was offering me toilet paper. I laughed/cried. "Remember that one time a couple years ago when we got a cold because we spent all day in the rain, and we didnt have tissues so we used toilet paper" Maddie started laughing. "Oh god I remember, my nose was so red and irritated I looked like one of those tiny people from the grinch" We both laughed and wiped our faces off. Maddie and I sat in comfortable silence for awhile until Grayson walked in, the door hitting me as it tried to open. "Oh shit sorry" Grayson said. "For what cheating on me or trying to kill me with the door" I said sarcastically. "Both.. look Somer. I love you, and only you. When Julia came, it was so sudden so I was a bit overwhelmed... I love you, and I know you feel the same because we both know we need each other. Or atleast, I need you. Please." Grayson said. I looked at Maddie. She nodded. I got up and the door opened. Grayson cupped my face in his hands and kissed me gently. "I love you so much" he said to me. "I love you too" I said. "You guys are adorable." Maddie said, Closing her eyes. "Maddie I'm really sorry. I still know Ethan likes you. I guess he.. I dont know.. when Heather came.." Grayson trailed off. "But I was there, Grayson. If he liked me, he would have been with me. But its alright, I understand, if I were a guy I wouldnt want to date me either" Maddie said. "Maddie don't say that.." I said. "Guys.. I just need some time to myself, okay?" she said and looked at us. We nodded, and went back to Ethans room. Julia had a confused expression on her face when she saw Grayson and I hand in hand. "Julia, I want you to meet my girlfriend, Somer" Grayson said. Julia gaped and covered her mouth. "omg! Somer! I'm sorry! I didnt know Grayson had a girlfriend, didn't mean to intrude.." she said and looked down. "Its okay, you didn't know" I said and glared at Grayson, who rubbed the back of his neck. Wow I love how Ethan doesnt ask if Maddies okay. "Grayson, I'm gonna go home.. I have chores." I lied. I just want to go home and sleep :/
