Chapter 13

Maddie's pov

I got up and got ready. I took a shower, then got dressed. I wore my Black skinny jeans, white tanktop, and red flannel over it. I left my hair down and curly. I applied my usual eyeliner and mascara. On my way out, I saw my blade was in plain sight from me using it the other day. I grabbed it and hid it. I waited on the couch until Alex finally arrived. I slipped on my white converse and hopped into his car. "Hey Alex" I said. "You ready?" he asked. "Oh yeah, I can't wait to see Ethan again" I said and blushed. "Who's Ethan?" Alex asked with a smirk. "Ohhh just.. my boyfriend" I smiled. We arrived at the airport shortly and waited by luggage pick-up. I was very anxious and I paced back and forth. "Calm down" Alex chuckled. "Sorry" I breathed and sat next to him. I explained to Alex about the snapchat I saw of Grayson and how it broke Somer's heart, making me worry about Ethan, with him not texting or calling and all. "Well, if you ever need to talk, call me" he said, glancing at my arms. I pulled my sleeves down and chuckled nervously. "Got it" I said. I looked up and saw Ethan.. I immediately got up and ran towards him. Once he saw me, he smiled and opened his arms. I jumped into them and he twirled me around. It was nice to be back into his arms.. "I missed you so so so so so much baby" he said. "I missed you too" I said, but then remembered how he didn't contact me at all. "Why didn't you call me?" I said with a frown. "I'm sorry babe, but we didn't have signal in the hotel, and I couldn't call you during the greets" He apologized. I looked down. I felt so guilty.. Its like.. he's my boyfriend.. I should trust him. "Whats wrong baby?" he asked. I opened my mouth to answer, but Grayson interrupted. "Hey... where is Somer?" Grayson asked. I narrowed my eyes at him. He backed away a few steps. "Woaah... is it that time?" he joked. "Not. Funny. We need to talk" I said angrily. I dragged him off. "What did I do?" he asked. I pulled out my phone and showed him the screenshot. "Somer and I saw you" I said. He saw it and his eyes widened. "Yeah. That's why Somer isn't here. She's done with you" I spat. "Maddie you don't understand-" I cut him off. "No! I think I do perfectly! You cheated on my best friend! Was she not good enough for you?!" I yelled at him and crossed my arms. He gulped. "M-Maddie... that.. that isn't me" he stuttered. My arms dropped. "Wh-what do you mean?" I said, tears forming in my eyes. "I mean.. that is.. Ethan" he said, rubbing the back of his neck. I didn't let the tears fall. I'm keeping this quiet- for now. "O-ok" I said. I walked away. "Ready? Ok good let's go" I said. I kept to myself as we walked to the car. When we got to the house I said goodbye to Alex, and went to help the guys unpack. I started throwing all the dirty clothes in the washing machine and turned it on, throwing all the washed wet stuff in the dryer with the softening sheets. I pushed the on button and went downstairs. I sat down on the couch with a heavy sigh. I felt the tears fall, and did what I learned to do best, cry. Silently. I heard footsteps coming from the stairs so I wiped my eyes off. But it was just Grayson. "Where are you going in such a hurry?" I asked. "I need to tell Somer what happened. I won't let her go that easy" he said and stomped out the door. I don't know what I was doing. I don't know why I'm not facing Ethan. I guess I just don't want to lose him... I love him so much, but I guess I love him alot more than he loves me.. I can't forget.. he's still a player... 

No. 

This is rediculous. 

I can't let him off like this. If he really cares about me, he will own up to what he did. 

I went upstairs and into his room. He wasn't there, must be in the bathroom. I sat on his bed. His phone vibrated and lit up. I picked it up.

From Abby.

A- Hey babe. Had so much fun last night.

E- We should hook up again before I leave ;)

A- Don't even leave.. stay here with me

E- Sorry, I am in NJ

A- So what. Not like you are missing anyone there.

That was all. Ethan walked in and saw me with tears running down my face. 

"I can't believe you would do this to me" I said. He tried saying something but I got up and left. I was almost outside when he grabbed my arm. "No Maddie please! I'm sorry!" he said, tears forming in his eyes. "Sorry you did it or sorry you got caught?" I sobbed. He didn't answer.. I pulled my arm away. "Thats what I thought" I said weakly. I dropped my penny board and went to Nicole's house. 

Nicole's pov

It was about to be Dylan and I's first time.  He ripped the condom package with his teeth and smirked. As we were about to undress, the doorbell rings. I go to the door, and Maddie is standing there bawling her eyes out. "OMG! Maddie what's wrong?!" I asked. "It wasn't Grayson.." She cried. "I'm sorry. I was gonna tell you, we had no signal I had no way to contact you" I said. "It's okay... it's not your fault that Ethan is a cheater" she sobbed. I sat her down on the couch and put on our favorite movie, White Chicks. I went into the kitchen and got Salt and Vinegar chips, Sour Patch Kids, and Mint Chocolate chip ice cream, Maddie's favorites. I gave them to her and Dylan came out. "Hey, what's going on?" he asked. I went over to Dylan. "She just found out Ethan was hooking up with that girl" I whispered and he nodded with a guilty look on his face. "Maddie, we will be upstairs, if you need us." I said and she nodded. "Wait we are still gonna do it?" Dylan asked. "Don't worry, Maddie won't ask for anything. She isn't gonna move, she's depressed" I said and he smirked.
