It was the next morning and I finally forced myself to wake up. I sat up and just stared at the wall for a couple of minutes before I dragged myself out of bed. I rubbed my eyes as I left my room and went downstairs. I didn't feel like cooking anything so I just grabbed some cereal.

I brought my cereal upstairs and ate it while I was walking up the stairs. When I got back into my room, I closed the door shut and went straight into my closet. I picked out an outfit and laid it down on my bed. I went to my vanity and grabbed my phone and watched some tiktoks while I eat my food.

After eating, I went into my bathroom and washed my face. Then I brushed my teeth and made my way back into my room. I took my clothes off and put my school outfit on. Then I put some deodorant on and went back to my vanity.

I looked into the mirror and decided I just wanted to go natural but do my signature lip combo. After doing my lips, I grabbed some edge control to fix up my edges. After taking a while on my edges, I finally got them to look the way I like it to look.

I stood up from my chair and walked over to my full body mirror and looked at my outfit. I took a picture after it was all styled and I send the picture to Adriana.

I put my phone into my pocket and grabbed my backpack. I grabbed my car keys and went downstairs to get ready to leave. I told my parents goodbye and left knowing Jayden and Jaylen would catch a ride with Dakari today.

Before heading to school, I stopped by Starbucks and grabbed me a drink because I already knew today was gonna be a long day.

When I got my drink, I decided to head straight to school since I still needed to get my classes situated and get my schedule.

When I got to school, I was very early. I hated being early but that's what I get for being a new student. I parked into a spot at the student parking lot and headed inside. I went straight to the guidance office and asked for my counselor.

I was shocked to see that it was still the same counselor I had from when I first started at this school. We didn't know each other that much, but I certainly got onto her good side.

I walked down the hall when they told me I could see her. I stopped at her door and knocked, letting her know that I was outside. When I heard a light 'come in' I made my way inside and smiled when I saw her.

"Mrs Smith!" I said excitedly.

"If it isn't Aaliyah Williams. How have you been sweetheart? I remember when you were telling me you had to move to another city and how you didn't know when you'd see me again. I still kept your letter up after all these years." she said with a huge smile and pointed at the hand written letter that I wrote her.

I chuckled lightly "Wow you still kept that after all these years? I wonder how corny I sounded when I wrote that letter down" I said.

"Whatever little girl. Come on in and give me a hug!" she said while opening her arms.

I walked into her arms while laughing a bit and gave her a hug. After we pulled away, I sat on her little couch I used to love sitting in and we started to talk.

"Okay well according to your records from your last school it looks like you need 6 more credits to graduate. And since you were on the soccer team I'm assuming you'd want to try out for our team as well." she informed me about my education.

"Yeah, I already checked, I know I have 3 classes I need to take for my junior year and as much as I would like to graduate early, I think I'll hold off on it for now. And as for the soccer tryouts you're right." I told her.

"Okay, we can definitely do that, but since you want to take a sport you need to have a total of 5 classes on your schedule." she informed me.

"I can do electives right?" I asked.

"Yeah, I mean you can definitely do that. Do you have any electives in mind?" she asked.

"What about yearbook and photography?" I asked.

"Sure! There are plenty of spots opened for those classes so you are very lucky. You a big fan of taking pictures or what?" she asked me with a smile.

"Yeah. I love taking pictures of anything honestly. If I didn't love playing soccer so much, I'd take pictures all day if it was a sport." I answered with a smile.

After finally finishing up my class situation, Ms. Smith printed out a copy of my schedule and let me go my way. I headed towards the locker that I was assigned and put some of my stuff inside.

While I was putting my stuff inside, I heard footsteps behind me and heard a familiar voice. It was the one person I was dreading to see again.

"I guess the rumors are true. Aaliyah Williams is really back in town." she said.
