So, you won’t believe what happened while Travis was off playing the role of a “hostage” for Hamas. I thought I’d heard it all, but the guy really did annoy them to death—literally. I mean, who else could turn a hostage situation into a comedy special?
When Travis finally made it back, he burst through the door with that trademark swagger. “LMFAO! You’ll never guess how I got out of that mess!”
Hadassah looked up, her eyes wide with curiosity. “Did you charm them with your nail polish tips again?”
Travis grinned, plopping down next to me. “ LMFAO! You know it! I told them, ‘Listen up, dudes! If you think I’m scared, you’re dead wrong. I’m just here to give you the ultimate makeup tutorial!’ ”
I couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. “Seriously? You made a makeup tutorial for them?”
“ LMFAO! Hell yeah! I mean, what else was I supposed to do? They had me locked up in some dingy room with these guys who had no sense of style. I thought, ‘If I’m going to be stuck here, I might as well make the best of it!’ So I pulled out every trick in the book.”
“Wait, did you really make them let you go?” I asked, still half in disbelief.
“ LMFAO! Of course! They couldn’t handle my fabulousness! I just kept rambling about bronzer and contouring until they couldn’t take it anymore! They were like, ‘Dude, we surrender! Just stop talking!’ LOL!”
Hadassah giggled, leaning back on the couch. “You’re insane. I can’t believe they actually let you go because you were annoying them!”
“ LMFAOHey, when you’re as charming as me, it’s easy! I’ve got charisma, baby! LOL!” Travis replied, tossing his hair dramatically.
I watched them, this little scene unfolding like a ridiculous sitcom. For a moment, it felt like everything would be okay.
But then I couldn’t shake the thoughts nagging at me. “And what about all the stuff that happened while you were gone?”
Travis’s smile faltered for a moment. “ LMFAO Yeah, that’s the hard part. But now that I’m back, we’ll figure it out together. I mean, if I can annoy my way out of a hostage situation, what’s stopping us from handling anything else? LOL”
“I missed you both,” Hadassah said quietly, her earlier cheer fading a bit. “Things were really rough without you.”
Travis looked at her, his expression softening. “ LMFAO We’re a team, and we’ve got each other’s backs. Nothing can break us apart, right? LOL!”
Hadassah nodded, and I felt a flicker of hope. Together, we could tackle whatever came our way. And as ridiculous as it sounded, if we could survive Travis’s wild antics with Hamas, we could face anything life threw at us.
“Let’s promise to keep each other safe,” I said, looking between them. “No more disappearing acts.”
“Deal!” Travis said, fist-bumping me. “ LMFAO We’re in this together, for better or worse. LOL ”
With a laugh, we settled into an easy brit, ready to take on whatever came next.
