Saturday arrived quickly.

Song Yingqing started getting ready after waking up early.

The other three people in the dormitory hadn't returned last night, so he didn't need to worry about disturbing anyone by getting up so early.

He was up early, but before six o'clock, Ye Jinyu had already started sending messages in the group chat reminding him and Nan Huaiyi of their trip to the amusement park that day.

Song Yingqing quickly finished washing up. Dressed in a black sweatshirt, long windbreaker, jeans, and sneakers, he looked youthful and casual. He picked up his cell phone, slung his backpack over his shoulder, opened the door, and headed out.

They had agreed the previous night to meet at the school's north gate at six-thirty.

When he arrived, no one else was there yet. He walked through the school gate and stood off to the side, waiting.

"Qingqing!"

A voice called out from behind him.

Xiao Nanhe approached with a bag slung over his shoulder and a water bottle hanging from his chest.

When Song Yingqing turned around and saw him, he couldn't help laughing. "Are you going on a school field trip?"

Xiao Nanhe wore a bright yellow water bottle and an apricot-colored bucket hat, looking just like a young child off to kindergarten.

Xiao Nanhe responded seriously, "I checked today's weather forecast-it's sunny, and the temperature at noon is expected to reach 28 degrees. I'm just being prepared."

Noticing Xiao Nanhe's light jacket, Song Yingqing raised an eyebrow and shook his head. "There's still time to go back and grab a warmer coat."

Hearing the commotion, she slowly opened her eyes, casting a glance at Song Yingqing. Her cool voice sounded slightly weary. "Close the door-it's cold."

At her words, Song Yingqing immediately closed the car door and sat down next to her without another word.

After exchanging a few words with Xiao Nanhe in the front, Ye Jinyu turned around and said, "Let's grab a breakfast first, then head to the amusement park."

Song Yingqing nodded in agreement.

Nan Huaiyi said nothing, though Ye Jinyu seemed unbothered and promptly started the car, driving away from the school.

By the time they finished breakfast, it was already half-past seven.

The sun had finally risen and fiery red color spread in the sky, though it offered no warmth yet.

The city's largest amusement park was in the downtown area, and it took them nearly half an hour to reach it.

As they waited for Xiao Nanhe to return from the restroom, Ye Jinyu pulled Song Yingqing and Nan Huaiyi aside. "The two of you need to stick together and don't get in the way of me and my cutie's quality time, understood?"
