The sun dipped low in the sky, casting a warm glow over Fukuoka High School as Koga Murikami leaned against a wall, her vibrant laughter ringing out. She had just finished a lively conversation with a group of friends, her energy infectious. But as the crowd dispersed, she turned her attention to her best friend, Haruka Mikasa, who was sitting on a nearby bench, her expression more subdued than usual.

"Hey, Haruka! What's up? You look like you just saw a ghost," Koga teased, plopping down next to her.

Haruka sighed, running a hand through her hair. "It's just been a long week, you know? With practice, schoolwork... sometimes it feels like it's all piling up."

Koga tilted her head, concern creeping into her features. "You've been pushing yourself really hard. Remember to take breaks! You can't be the school's star athlete if you burn out!"

"I know, I know. But there's so much pressure to perform," Haruka admitted, her brow furrowing. "Everyone expects me to win every game. It's like if I don't, I'll disappoint everyone."

Koga placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "You're not just a competitor; you're our friend! Everyone loves you for who you are, not just your wins."

Haruka offered a small smile, grateful for Koga's support. "Thanks, Koga. I guess I just need to remind myself of that."

"Let's do something fun to shake off the stress!" Koga suggested, her eyes lighting up with excitement. "How about a spontaneous trip to the arcade? I'm feeling lucky today!"

Haruka chuckled, feeling her spirits lift. "Alright, but you better not drag me into any of those crazy claw machine challenges again."

"Deal!" Koga laughed, nudging her playfully. "I promise, no claw machines. Just good old-fashioned games and snacks!"

As they made their way to the arcade, the conversation shifted to their recent outings with Izumi and Yugo. Koga couldn't help but admire how close the couple had become. "It's cute how Yugo is with Izumi. They seem so happy together," she mused.

"Yeah, it's nice to see them like that," Haruka agreed, but a hint of uncertainty crept into her voice. "Sometimes, I worry about how much time we're all spending together. I don't want to feel like a third wheel."

Koga shook her head vehemently. "You're not a third wheel! You're a crucial part of their dynamic, just like I am. Besides, if anyone tries to make you feel that way, I'll set them straight!"

Haruka laughed, appreciating Koga's fierce loyalty. "Thanks, Koga. I guess I just need to remind myself that our friendships can coexist."

They arrived at the arcade, the bright lights and sounds engulfing them. Koga immediately rushed toward the racing games, her excitement palpable. "Come on, let's race! I'll show you who the real champion is!"

Haruka followed, her heart lifting as they began to play. The adrenaline and laughter flowed easily between them, the worries of the week melting away. Koga's competitive spirit drove them both, and before long, they were caught up in the thrill of the games.

After a few rounds, they took a break, sipping on slushies as they leaned against a table. "See? This is what I needed!" Haruka exclaimed, feeling revitalized.

"Absolutely! We should do this more often," Koga replied, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Plus, I have a theory that spending time with you will bring me good luck in love."

Haruka raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh? And what's that supposed to mean?"

Koga leaned in, lowering her voice dramatically. "You know how Yugo and Izumi are always together? I think it's because they balance each other out, like peanut butter and jelly!"
