the cafeteria was alive with the usual lunchtime chaos, trays clattering, voices rising in animated chatter, and the scent of food wafting through the air. taesan, leehan, sungho, and jaehyun gathered at their usual table, the four of them forming a tight-knit crew.
they had been friends for years, and their bond was evident in the easy banter and laughter that flowed between them. today, however, a particular topic was on everyone's mind: the recent antics of woonhak and riwoo.
"have you guys seen them today?" jaehyun began, a smirk spreading across his face as he dug into his lunch. "i swear, it's like watching a live-action drama unfold right in front of us."
taesan chuckled, shaking his head. "they're like fire and ice. one minute they're arguing, and the next, it's like they're having their own secret language."
"i don't know how they don't realize how obvious they are," leehan added, a teasing glint in his eyes. "it's like they're trying to hide the fact that they're totally into each other."
sungho, the more observant one, raised an eyebrow. "do you think it's because they just met? i mean, woonhak is a transfer, right? maybe they're both just figuring things out."
"or maybe they're just both too stubborn to admit it," jaehyun replied, a playful grin on his lips. "it's classic. the bickering, the snappy comebacks... it's like watching a rom-com where the leads can't stand each other at first."
"you think they're actually going to develop feelings for each other?" taesan pondered, a thoughtful look on his face. "i mean, it's possible."
leehan leaned in, a mischievous smile growing.
"oh, absolutely. they're bound to realize it eventually. i mean, how could they not? they spend all their time together, even if they're arguing half the time."
sungho nodded, but his expression was more serious. "i just hope it doesn't blow up in their faces. what if they end up hating each other even more?"
"nah, that won't happen," jaehyun assured him, his confidence unshaken.
"if anything, they'll probably end up being inseparable. they just need to get through this phase of pretending to hate each other."
taesan's gaze drifted toward the entrance of the cafeteria, where woonhak and riwoo had just walked in. woonhak's bright smile contrasted sharply with riwoo's more stoic demeanor, but even from a distance, it was clear there was a spark between them.
