On this day Lord Krishna killed Demon Narkasur who abducted 16,100 innocent women and ended his tyranny.
About Narkasur.....
The lifespan of Narkasur is much longer than any demon.
As to your surprise he is even older than Ravana who was born in Treta Yug.
Narkasur was born in Satyug as son of Bhumi Devi and fathered by Bhagwan Varaha who was an incarnation of Lord Vishnu so this makes Lord Vishnu as his father.
Even after being the son of Gods became arrogant and cruel and after getting a boon from Lord Brahma Deva that only a human can kill him, make him cruel and start torturing the innocents.
He founded the Bauma Dynasty and established a kingdom named Pragjyotishpura and became the king of kiratas Chinas and Mlecchas.
He in his arrogance abducted 16,100 women and because of them a lord Vishnu in the form of Bhagwan Krishna and Bhumi Devi in the form of Mata satyabhama along with Narayani Sena attacked Pragjyotishpura and killed Narkasur, ending his tyranny.
According to Mahabharat, he had a son named Bhagdutt who became King of Pragjyotishpura and fought Mahabharata war along Kauravas side
As Bhagdutt's Kingdom Pragjyotishpura was conquered by Karna in his Digvijay Yatra and he wanted to avenge his father's death so he decided to take part from Kaurava side
In Mahabharata Bhagdutt mounted on his elephant Supratika defeated everywhere Mahabharat Warriors including Satyaki Bheem Abhimanyu and even Arjun
Bhagdutt almost killed Arjun with Vaishnavastra but due to divine intervention by Lord Krishna Arjun was saved and then Arjun unfairly Killed Bhagdutt
After the unfair death of Bhagdutt his son Vajradutta became king of Pragjyotishpura and ruled many Mleccha tribes in North East such as Kirata Chinas Angas etc.
