Soon it was time for Charlie to return, Jeff refused council’s order to attend the arrival ceremony while others excitedly waited for Charlie to return. The citizens already saw the documentary regarding Charlie’s stay on an abandoned planet.
Everyone was impressed and excited about how brave and cool Prince was. Soon the aircraft landed and Type and Man stepped forward to greet Charlie.
Once the enigma stepped out, Type grabbed him and pulled him into a hug tightly. Charlie smiles as he hugs Type back and then Man. The crowd was screaming and cheering for the prince.
Charlie looks towards the crowd and Wai at them while smiling but Type could tell that Charlie was looking lost and tired.
He pats Charlie’s back who gives him a fake smile and wishes to get out of here as soon as possible but unfortunately Council members had another plan.
Tan hesitated as he looked at Charlie before stepping forward and announced, “Our prince is back safe and sound, he proved that he’s worth being our king and I hope that the citizens of our empire think the same…”
They received a loud cheer and people screaming Charlie’s name. Tan had a proud look on his face as he looked at Charlie before he continued, “Tomorrow is going to be Prince’s Coronation..” Tan was staring at Charlie as he announced and then continues
“Also, tomorrow is going to be our Prince engagement which you be broadcasted like how it’s always produced…”
Charlie froze on hearing the engagement part and looked at Type in panic. He hadn’t discussed this with Jeff, Charlie didn’t how the omega would react.
Once inside the car, Charlie ends up panicking, “Engagement?! Phee, why so early? I told you to let me handle..”
“That’s Council members' idea, we couldn’t stop them....” Man asked
“But Why? What’s the rush?!”
“Apparently they are worried that you will come up with some new way to escape the marriage...” Type said truthfully while Charlie looked at him with wide eyes.
Type sighs as he massages his forehead before he continues, “They know about Jeff, Charlie. According to them, you already have your match so better get engaged now..”
“Match? Wait? What’s going on? How they knows about Jeff..” Charlie looks at them in fear.
“Soon after you left, The council members contacted Jeff. He already knows about the arrangements..” Man answered
“And he is ready for it?” Charlie was shocked
“Does he have any option? Monarch is brutal, either Jeff marry you or be banished. Poor omega has no option..” Man said sadly feeling bad yet helpless.
Soon after reaching the home, Charlie tried to contact Jeff but found out he couldn’t. He cursed in anger and was about to leave the house to find Jeff when he saw Jeff coming with Tan.
“Jeff!” Charlie shouted in relief when he saw Jeff but omega ignored him
“You brought him?” Type spoke as he walked towards them and looked at Jeff who wai at him.
“Yes, he’s going to stay here from now..” Tan said as he pats Jeff’s back, “You have my number, call me if you need anything, okay?”
Jeff nodded before he followed Type to his room. Charlie went after them and requested Type to let him talk to Jeff alone.
“Jeff! Why did I agree?” Charlie asked in frustration
“You think I had an option?! I literally blackmailed into this” Jeff shouted back in anger, surprising Charlie by the sudden outburst.
