The sun peaked out of Marcelo's window, promising a bright new day. He opened his eyes slowly, waiting patiently for his vision to focus. A sigh beside him made him jump, unaware of the other body laying next to him. Elisa crawled in his room in the middle of the night, disturbing his much needed sleep. Though he could complain, grow angry, and kick her out, but this was Elisa. He will always have a soft spot for her. Anything that she wanted him to do, like run away, he would do. It was sad, and he hated how easily whipped up he is with her. Girls like her were trouble. The free, rebellious ones. The ones who grew up with no love, so she is incapable of loving anyone. It only took Marcelo 3 months to see that in her.
She stirred slightly in her spot next to him then her breathing returned to a steady pace. She was beautiful. Anyone who denied that was surely mad. Her hair flooded her visible half and cascaded to the tip of the blankets. Her face was at peace, finally it seems. He wondered what she will do when school comes in a few weeks. He was going to his senior year of high school and she was starting her sophomore year of college in a nearby community college. Even though he shouldn't, he worried about her studies. How it will effect her anxiety was beyond him. She was strong, boy was she ever.
"Celo?"
He blinked a few times before realizing that he zoned out while staring directly at her. Heat floated to his cheeks but luckily for him, it wasn't noticeable. "You're just so peaceful when you're sleeping." He mumbled. She smiled and sat up, her hair in a array of waves. "I should get back."
"No good morning kiss?" He joked, silently wishing that if were possible. He silently wished that she would wake up next to him everyday and share a good morning kiss, but reality is too much. She chuckled and shook her head, rubbing the top of his curls. "Good morning, Celo." Her smile was sympathetic and he hated that. "Can we hang out later?"
"Sure." He nodded, watching her get up, brushing her hair to the side. She still seemed flawless even in the morning.
Without another word, she crawled out of her window and slumped back upon hearing the creak of her window opening.
The clock on his nightstand read 9:46AM. He was usually an early riser but something in him didn't want to get out of bed at all. His emotions for her were exhausting.
And her pretending like they weren't of significance was even more exhausting and damaging then staying up for 3 weeks.

Eden sat at the edge of her bed flipping through one of Elisa's history textbooks she bought the year before. She pulled it out for her after Eden admitted that she was going to take AP US history after taking a placement test.
She wasn't surprised to see Elisa crawling through the window in the morning with a flustered face.
"Well," she threw a smirk over to her new friend, whom became like a sister to her in these past weeks. "How was sex with Marcelo?"
