The therapy room was warm and inviting, the soft hues of the walls creating a calming atmosphere. Lucy had decorated it with plants and artwork, making it feel like a safe haven where her clients could share their thoughts without judgment. Today, however, the room was filled with a different kind of energy, one that buzzed with anticipation. Tim had come by for an informal check-in, and Lucy found herself looking forward to their time together.

She settled into her chair, a notebook resting on her lap, and glanced up at Tim, who had plopped down on the couch, looking relaxed yet attentive. He wore a faded blue t-shirt and jeans, casual yet handsome, and she appreciated how the simple attire seemed to fit him perfectly, highlighting his easygoing nature.

L:So, tell me, what do you do when you're off duty?

Tim leaned back, a thoughtful expression crossing his face as he considered her question.

Well, I usually catch the game. You know, just kick back, relax, and watch whatever's on. It helps me unwind after a long shift.

L:Sounds nice. Any favorite teams?

T:Yeah. Die-hard Dodgers.

Lucy laughed, picturing Tim as a kid, cheering passionately for his team.

L:So you're one of those fans? You must get pretty intense during the games.

Tim chuckled, the corners of his mouth lifting in amusement.

T:Tou have no idea. I get pretty animated. The neighbors probably think I'm losing my mind.

Lucy loved hearing him talk about something he was passionate about; his enthusiasm was infectious. But as much as she enjoyed the topic, her curiosity was piqued about something else.

L:You mentioned Kojo the other day at the café. What's he like?

At the mention of his dog, Tim's face lit up, the weariness of the day melting away as he launched into a description.

T:Kojo? Oh man, he's a character. He's this adorable little bundle of energy. On the outside, he's cute and loveable, but inside the house? He's a tornado.

Lucy laughed at his vivid description, picturing a small dog causing chaos.

L:A tornado? How do you manage that?

T:Tim leaned forward, a glint of mischief in his eyes.

T:It's not that hard, really. I just have to keep him entertained. We play fetch, tug-of-war,you name it. If he doesn't get enough exercise, he tends to redecorate the living room with his toys.

Lucy raised an eyebrow, genuinely curious.

L:What happens if he breaks something?

T:Honestly? I've lost a few things. A lamp here, a couple of books there. But it's worth it. Kojo makes me happy, and he's great company.

Her heart warmed at the sincerity in his voice.

L:He sounds like a handful, but a fun one. It must be nice to come home to someone who's so excited to see you.

Tim's expression softened, and she could see the affection he had for his dog shining through.

T:It really is. After a long day, it's nice to have that kind of energy waiting for you. He's always ready to play or cuddle, depending on the mood.

Lucy felt a twinge of longing as she listened. There was something deeply fulfilling about the bond he shared with Kojo, and it made her wish she had a similar connection with someone or something. It also stirred feelings within her that she was beginning to recognize,an urge to be closer to Tim, to share that same warmth and energy with him.
