Chapter 2 - PLAYCARE

// This was originally going to take way, WAY longer because I wanted it to end when Miss Delight died, but it was taking too long so I just decided to find a good stopping point and continued it on. Anyhow, enjoy the new chapter! //

"PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!"

"I already said no, drop it!"

"But we wanna go on this fun adventure too!"

"Well, it's dangerous."

"Ha! How dangerous could going to a Daycare be???"

Kicken and AJ were currently arguing.

Earlier, AJ had talked to the phone guy, whose name was 'Ollie', and after telling him about what happened, Ollie just told him to continue, saying his next place to go was the playcare as the playhouse was dangerous and the playcare was much safer, so it was his next big bet. Currently, Kicken and AJ were arguing over whether or not they could go....AJ was very strict on it.

"I said NO, and NO is still the answer!"

"But—"

"No buts! You stay here where it's safe!"

"But c'mon!"

Before more could be said, the phone rang. AJ sighed but picked it up. Ollie spoke.

"Just a little question. There is a version of Catnap with you, right?"

This made the smiling critters confused. Why would the topic of Catnap be there? Why would catnap be relevant?

Aj nodded.

"Yes."

"Aright! In that situation, please take the versions of those smiling critters with you. In case of any threats, we can pretend that that catnap is their catnap! They'll listen to Catnap. She'll listen to catnap. So be sure to bring Catnap with you. Although he's way smaller than our Catnap, because he's bigger than the other toys and dolls, they might just mistake him for him."

Aj paused before sighing. The phone hung up and AJ looked at them.

"...Okay, okay. You can come."

"Yes!!!"

Kicken exclaimed in joy. Dogday tilted his head.

"Why did Ollie say they would listen to Catnap? Wouldn't they listen to all of us? And why exactly do we want them to listen? It's not like they're savages...right?"

Dogday asked, though he was hesitant for the answer. Aj sighed and rubbed his temples.

"...well...they ARE savages. The reason I—"

The phone rang. Aj picked up the phone.

Ollie spoke.

"Don't tell them. It'll only make them scared!"

Ollie hung up before AJ could question. Aj sighed and put the phone away.

"...You'll see."

.....

They approached the playcare. Dogday hummed.

"This kinda looks like the school in our world!"

Dogday was happy to see the familiar place and kept smiling, his tail wagging, unaware of Aj's strict yet nervous face. Bubba hummed.

"Perhaps this was made for the whole place. Who knows?"

"Well, I'm pretty sure AJ knows! He said he used to work here!"
