A Promise In The Cold

A bird is sitting on a naked branch, shivering in the cold.
The cold air is blowing from every side and there are no leaves to protect it.

A little squirrel passes the bird, but it suddenly stops.

"What are you doing in this cold weather? Why don't you seek shelter?" - she asked.

The bird turns to the squirrel and says,

"I'm waiting for my mom. She said she will come and save me."

"But you're going to freeze to death,"-  said the squirrel.

"It's okay," - said the bird.

The squirrel, not knowing what to say, bid her goodbye and ran to her shelter.

The bird was alone yet again, while patiently waiting for her mom to come. After waiting for a whole day, the bird's mom finally arrived.

"What are you still doing here?" - the mom asked.

"I was waiting for you," - said the bird.

"Do I have to constantly run after you? Why are you so incapable? I have so many things on my plate. I can't care about you too," - the mom said angrily and took off.

The bird muttered a quiet I'm sorry and took off following his mom.
