i was in class , listening to music and doing my work per usual. the boy from the other day, amiri, i remember his name was. he then sat next to me, again.
"hey new girl" , he greeted me and i slid one side of my beats off my ear
"hey amiri", i said with a small smile
"you coming out to my game today?" he asked me
"i don't have practice, so sure" , i answered in response
he just smiled and we continued to do our work for the remaining class time
as i was walking to my aunt's office , i seen zari coming in through the double doors
"oh hey lani", she greeted me with a smile
"finally, my name.. hey zarii", i said in response
"where you off to?" , she asked , stopping in front of me
"my aunt's office until this game starts" , i said
"why don't you go home?", she asked me
"my aunt practically lives here and i don't drive so"
"you're gonna need to in college" , she said raising an eyebrow
"i know , but im more of a passenger princess type of girl" , i said and she nodded , "where are you going?" i added on
"the gym to go shoot around, wanna come?"
"sure", i said with the a smile as i followed her
we got to the gym and she unlocked it with a key, she turned the lights on and got everything she needed out.
i sat on the bleachers and she threw her hoodie on the bleachers , right next to me
"come guard me" , she laughed
"i can't playyyy"
"i didn't ask, come on" , she said jogging on the court
i laughed and sat my phone down to go join her
she bounced the ball in front of me and i spread my legs slightly with my arms held out.
