I was too scared to be a part of theater...but finally I got over it and gave it a chance.
No doubt I was scared at first..I always loved singing and acting..but what if it wasn't good enough?
The first day being in theater we all had to play a game.
We had to say our favorite DC characters and act them out...mine is Harley Quinn..how original..
All of our classes started with little games like these....and finally he gave us our first project..
We had to come up with a whole story line for a pantomime!
Pantomime is when you act out without saying a word.
My group was going to do a murder mystery kind of thing but then the school told our theater teacher no murder was allowed..even if it was a small project only being showed in front of the class.
We struggled to come up with a story till I came up with a small skit.
It involves me sitting with one of the other girls and we keep changing channels on the TV.
As we changed channels the music we chose changed too..the other boys in our group would act out the characters on the TV to make it more fun...
One of the other boys in the group sneaked up on us and "scared us" then he would sit and watch the TV too.
He changed the channel to something neither of us wanted to watch..and we all started fighting over the remote.
Since it's pantomime we didn't actually have any props...it made it more fun knowing the remote was imaginary..
That's when the guys who were acting out the other channels stopped and stared at us.
They then acted out as if they were coming out of the TV so I shoved the girl to the floor me and the other guy got up and ran
I shoved him to the floor and I locked them inside while they begged for help.
There was no talking and no props and it was actually really fun!
It was cool watching what everyone else came up with in their own stories and then the project was done with...we got a fairly good grade on it.
In the theater class there were three people who never tried..they were always talking and giving attitudes especially to the teacher which made me mad.
I don't like it when someone messes with people I care about.
This one girl, lilliana, she was a loud mouth...she was mean and always gave an attitude to everyone.
She told the teacher she didn't care and that her group was prepared to go which couldn't be further from the truth.
Most of my friends in that class were in a group with her..the teacher was going to make them all go up since Lilliana said they were prepared.
My friend Connor he was such a sweetheart and he was trying to take control of their group and let them know they will be okay.
They didn't have their music or even their story line together.
They tried to ask the teacher to not make them go up and they tried to get Lilliana to apologize but instead she was talking shit about him behind the stage.
Finally they convinced him not to go up and I was livid...I hated seeing my friends in that group cry out of anxiety and nerves all because a self entitled bitch doesn't know how to treat others.
