Senior year was extremely stressful...but that's to be expected right?

Along with keeping up with school work I also worked in a bakery at a Publix.

Not all Publix are the same but this one in particular wasn't the best..at least not for me.

It was a very isolated job..I had to stay in one corner of the store for the most part packing food and making samples.

While working there I realized how much I enjoyed cake decorating.

I talked to my assistant store manager and he told me if I practiced my writing on cakes and decorating cupcakes he may consider making me a cake decorator.

I went home and bought a 60 dollar decorator kit and practiced my writing and decorating.

After a few months I was doing pretty well with it and I was close with the other cake decorators so they took me under their wing to teach me more...

There was one decorator I wasn't close to due to some reasons..

The first day I started I was 17 and she's in her 40s.

She made sex jokes to me about fucking me..everyone laughed at it but I went along with it thinking it was just a joke..and there was no reason to be upset about it.

When I turned 18 she started asking me questions..about what kind of people I'm into..where I live...if I'm seeing anyone...

I was getting uncomfortable with her starting to ask me about my dating and I wasn't comfortable with the way she was looking at me.

I went to walk away from her but she pushes a cart in front of me so I couldn't leave...I try to go next to her but she grabbed my arm tightly and asked where I'm going.

I had to yank my arm away and said I was trying to work.

All through the year I was working there she would sometimes grab me or act sexual towards me and didn't care when I told her to stop.

I didn't say anything because I didn't want to get anyone in trouble..

The cake decorators would make around ten dollars more than I did an hour and they would sometimes call me in just to decorate cupcakes the entire time.

It really hurt after awhile because buttercream is really thick when your trying to mix it and it will hurt the wrist after awhile.

Every single cake decorator there admitted to having some kind of surgery on their wrists from cake decoratorating.

I would work on decorating cupcakes for six hours straight...they didn't push me to take any breaks so I didn't really bother doing so.

They didn't pay me any differently...I still was paid minimum wage for doing cupcakes but I didn't really care because I enjoyed doing it.

The bakery manager always watched me like a hawk and she was very judgemental...she always waited for someone to make a mistake just so she could call them out on it.

Eventually the bakery manager had to get switched to a new store so we got a new one.

This lady was just promoted to being a manager and she wasn't exactly the best at it.

She constantly talked bad about the customers in front of them, sent workers home early saying she "didn't need" them including me costing us all pay. She constantly kept adding on work to the assistant bakery manager which I found very unfair.

The assistant bakery manager became like a bigger sister to me..she was very sweet and worked hard.

They would have to send her home because of how much she worked without taking many breaks.
