Symphony's point of view:

I watch as they all try and attach him. I cringe watching it. I hate fighting, and I told my stupid brothers not to fight him. I look back to Katie, who is picking the ball off the ground. She throws it, so I run after it forgetting about my brothers... And the wolf.

The growling from the fight grows louder as I return to Katie with the ball in my mouth. Katie looks off into the woods trying to find the source of the noise. 'Stop fighting!' I yell through mind link to my pack. 'Katie can hear you, and she is getting curious.' I say. I hear them stop and I look at Katie dropping the ball and barking.

"Guess what happened today?" She asks sitting down on the grass. I lay down next to her, and she absentmindedly pets me. I rest my head on her knee and she sighs. "The boy I like talked to me." She squeals.

I look at her wagging my tail. "He's coming over tomorrow to work on a project with me." She says excitedly. I smile inwardly, from seeing her like this.

She sighs looking off and spacing out. "His brother is bringing him, and his brother is scary. They both kind of are, but also mysterious." She chuckles.

"Katie, come on it's time for dinner!" Her mom calls. She gives me a kiss on the head before retreating inside. I stay there before getting up annoyed and head into the woods.

I get to the woods to see everyone in a stand off. The wolf is about five feet tall, which means he is bigger than all of us. Everyone snaps their head towards me, and I growl at them. 'Everyone can go home, except my brothers.' I say, and the pack listens. The wolf looks confused, but still watches me. His eyes are a dark blue almost black color.

I snap my head at my brothers growling. 'I told you not to attack him.' I growl stepping towards them. They lower their heads slightly.

'Symphony, don't talk to your Alpha like that.' Hunter growls warningly as he stands tall looking down on me. I lower my head a little too.

'Symphony, he is Chase. The one who grabbed you, and could have stopped his brother, but didn't.' Scout says. I look at the wolf, who is Chase, and cock my head looking at him. Then I see the unmistakable white patch of fur on his chest.

I growl at him, and he looks upset, but I don't care. I look back at my brothers. 'Just go.' I say defeated. They nod leaving, but I know they didn't go too far.

I lay down on the ground tuning everything out. I put my head on my paws closing my eyes as I take a deep breath. I feel a presence come closer to me, but I ignore it. I feel something rub against my fur, and my eyes snap open. I look to see Chase checking me over and his head brushing against my fur. He sees I'm fine and lays down right next to me.

Our fur is touching, and I feel oddly pretty safe with him. I don't know why. It's not like we are mates because his smell and touch don't do anything to my dog. I lean into his side and he rests his head on mine. I hear someone coming, and I just hope it isn't Hunter or Scout.

I feel Chase tense up a bit hearing the approaching person. I hear them stop and growl. I look up to see Toby glaring at Chase. Chase stands in front of me protectively. 'Toby, he won't hurt you. Just cautiously come over to me.' I tell him. Toby nods his head walking around to me.

Chase growls following his movements. I growl warningly at Chase nipping at his leg. He looks down at me before he lays down like before. Toby lays on my other side watching us confused. 'Can you explain this?' He asks me.

'I just feel safe with him. Plus I don't feel too good.' I say. Toby nudges me and I look at him worried.

'Maybe you are just going into your first heat cycle. It's different for us were-dogs. You females get it when you turn seventeen, and then not until you actually get marked by your mate.' Toby explains. I lift my head looking at him cocking my head to the side.

'How do you know this?' I ask.

'I was with Pepper when it happened to her. I was in charge to make sure no unmated males came to her.' He says shaking his head. Chase growls lowly, and I look to see he is mind linking someone.

His eyes clear up and he looks at me nudging his snout on my neck. I think back to that day where everything changed.

"Alright, now just feel yourself give in to your dog. Once you do that you will feel yourself shifting." Our dad tells us. I give into my dog closing my eyes. I open them and see I'm her. I bark excitedly, and look to see my siblings doing the same.

"Now to communicate just think what you want to say, and who you are saying it to." My father says.

'Hello?' I ask my father through the mind link.

'Great job baby girl.' He praises me patting my head.

'Symphony, come on let's go play like this.' Salt says excitedly. I nod following her. Pepper is right by her side like always. I sneak up behind her and pounce on her back. This is the first time Toby and I are shifting, and I love it.

She picks me up in her mouth and puts me down I front of her. 'Go jump on Toby.' She offers. I nod my head stalking over to Toby. I wait and right before I pounce the guys take off running. I run after them, but only after Salt and Pepper pass me.

I catch up to them only to stop in my tracks. 'Hunter this is your fault.' Salt growls.

'We are too far away.' Pepper says worriedly.

'Dad is so going to kill you.' Scout says. 'This is wolf territory.' Scout sniffs the air. Toby and I shrink towards each other scared. Then we are surrounded by six boys. They all only have basketball shorts on. Two have power coming off them, and they just so happen to be twins.

"Well, boys look what we have here." One chuckles. Hunter let's out a warning growl, and so does Salt.

"Some trespassing mutts." Another one chuckles.

"Damon, let's just let them go." On of the twins says.

"Oh no brother. Dad wouldn't want that."

"Yeah come on Chase. They are just dogs." One of the other ones say.

"Lance, they don't deserve their necks snapped." Chase growls.

"Well, we have to follow dad's protocol... Not yours." Damon snaps. "But I bet you can't even doubt can you... Huh Chase?" He says his eyes turning black. Chase's eyes go black too, and he shifts along with the others. They each grab one of us, with Chase grabbing me. His is a chocolatey brown with a white patch on his chest.

I jump up attaching Chase. It's his fault that happened... That they died. I bite his shoulder as he is in shock by what happened. Something in me just snapped creating a fire of hate.
