Ningning had just finished her last class for the day. So far, she had managed to avoid Keyu for a whole week. It wasn't because he did anything wrong to her, she just needed a week to sort out her feelings. She never thought that she'd be experiencing what it's like to be falling in love and she was confused as to why she felt that way. She should've told him beforehand that she needed some time to figure out her feelings but oh well it's already been a whole week of giving him the cold shoulders, it wasn't like she could turn back time.

"You ready for the talent show this Thursday? The teacher really liked the song that you made and even asked you to sing it during the talent show. If that isn't a good compliment." Bella, one of Ningning's friend in the same course as her stated.
"If you think about it, it's even more frightening to be performing a song I made myself in front of so much people. What if I make a fool of myself?!?" Ningning says in hysteric as her friend could just laugh at her for always being so dramatic.
"You're a born performer. No one's going to realise if you'd make a mistake because they'd be too enchanted by your voice Ning." Bella tells her as it calmed Ningning down a bit.
"Yeah you're right. My voice is pretty amazing." Her boosting Ningning's ego as her friend could just roll her eyes playfully at her before lightly pushing her away.

"Ningning." The two girls hearing someone call her name out as they looked behind to see Keyu standing there.
A look of panic washed over Ningning's face as she tries to avoid his stare.

"Look it's your boyfriend. I should probably leave you two alone. See you tomorrow then Ning." Bella says as she was about to leave.
"Wait Bella no-" The girl not being able to finish her plea for help as her friend had already ran off.

She then looks over at Keyu with a nervous smile.
"Hahah hi Key... I'm really busy right now so I should-"
"Can we talk." He says sternly and held onto her hands as he drags her somewhere much more quiet and where they were out of sight from the rest of the student.

"Keyu let me go." Ningning trying to set her hands free from his grasp but it was no use as he held a firm grip on her hands.
"Key it hurts." She pleaded as this time she could feel his hold on her hand lighten.

He finds an empty classroom as he brought her in there. Keyu letting go of her hands and this time instead pins her against the wall, both his hands beside her so she wouldn't run off.
His action causing her to widen her eyes as she looks at him in dismay.

"Why have you been ignoring me for a whole week now? Did I do something wrong to you? Was it the kiss. Did that make you uncomfortable? If it did then I'm sorry." He spoke as she could just stare at him with a blank expression on her face.

Hah?

"What? No, you did nothing wrong. Why would you think that." She replies.
"Why would I think that? Why would I think that Yizhuo? Because you've been ignoring me for a whole week now." He says in irritation as she could sense that he was getting mad.
"I didn't mean to, I just needed some time to-"

"I already know everything Yizhuo." He lets out a tired sigh as this only confused her even more.
"What do you mean?"
"I overheard your friends talking about it when I was making my way home. You only dated me because you were fomo right?" He said.

Hearing those words come out of his mouth just brought her back to reality.

He wasn't supposed to know that. He was never supposed to know that.

"At first yes. But the more time I spend with you, all thoughts of that disappeared." She tries to reason with him but she could already see the look of betrayal on his face. The look of someone that's been heartbroken.

"Am I just a guy who you could easily deceive Yizhuo." He says faintly as he had his head lowered down.
"Were any of the things we did genuine? Because I've been honest with everything ever since we started dating." He said.

Hearing his sad tone only tore her heart apart even more.

"Of course they were. They all were. Please, trust me. Key." She replies as she held onto his hands. Wanting him to know that she wasn't lying. Not now. Not ever.

"I trust you. I've always did. But now, I think the two of us just need some time apart for ourselves." He says as he flashes her a small smile before leaving her alone in that classroom.

She stares into space in disbelief. Not wanting to believe that had just happened.

"What have I done?" She says quietly before falling to the ground as tears started to cover her vision.

Ningning tells her two best friends everything. Starting from the start where she dated Keyu because she felt left out, all the way until she had started to fall for him and the two of them talking in the empty classroom.
She explains everything whilst sobbing. Though Yejun and Gaeul had to decipher most of the things that Ningning was saying because they couldn't understand what she was saying through the sobbing. They knew how broken she was. She'd never cried over a boy before in her life. So they knew that this was serious.

"I fucked up bad didn't I?" Ningning says through hiccups as Gaeul pats her back.
"I mean.." Yejun tries to reply but she couldn't really find an answer for that.

"Yeah I don't have a good answer for that. One part of me wants to say yes because you should've told him from the start and you should've explained to him why you were giving him the cold shoulders the last week. But apart of me wants to say no? Because you already made it clear from the start that you wanted to try dating him because you wanted to know what it's like to date someone. So like... I don't know Ning. Even I'm confused." Yejun scratching her head in confusion.

"What Yejun wants to say is that yes you messed up for not telling the truth. But you could fix that with him later once the two of you are done having some time apart from each other. I think he just needs some time to himself. This time apart from each other doesn't mean that you guys are going to break up." Gaeul replies.
Hearing the word breakup only made Ningning cry even harder.
"Gaeul!" Yejun says sternly.
"What? I was just telling the truth??"
