"Why haven't I seen you and Ningning together at all this week? You guys usually meet up after classes and I don't know, talk or get lunch together." Jake asks, as him and Keyu were walking out of their last class for the day.

"She said that she's really busy this week, so that's why we haven't met. But I feel like she's avoiding me somehow. She started sitting in her usual seat again in English class. I mean I can't find that weird because she really can't see the board from afar even with glasses." Keyu replies as he lets out a sigh.
It was true. After Keyu was done with his performance, the following week Ningning has been acting... weird? Whenever he greets her, she'd look so panicked. When he wants to talk to her, she'd end the conversation short before walking away. It was like she didn't even want to see or talk to him.

"Dude, did you do something to her? You two fought? Ning is not the type to avoid people. If she has a problem with someone, she usually tells them right away. Well, that's from what I know from high school. She might've changed for all I know." His friend shrugging his shoulders as Keyu thought about it.

Could Ningning perhaps be mad at him because he kissed her in the dressing rooms backstage after his performance? He just had the sudden urge to kiss her in the moment. He might've made her uncomfortable and he didn't realise it. Was she avoiding him because of that?

"Shit. Maybe I did do something bad without even realising. I'll try to see if I could find the time to talk to her and apologise." Keyu curses as he ran his fingers through his hair in distress.
"I need to use the restroom first. You wait for me in the parking lot. Here's my keys." He hands his car keys over to Jake as it made the lad grin.

Keyu had just exited the toilet as he makes his ways through the hallways. The lad scavenging through his bag to make sure that he had everything inside.

"Don't you think Ning's being a little too mean by ignoring him?"

His ears tingles when he hears this as he stops walking. He looks over to one of the classes to see three of Ningning's friends that he'd met at backstage. The three of them alone in the class and no sight of Ningning anywhere.

He hides his body so they weren't able to see him as he listens in on their conversation. Maybe they'd know why his girlfriend was currently ignoring him.

"Yeah, I think she's being a little too unreasonable by just avoiding him. *sigh, this girl I swear." Giselle mumbles.
"I know she's just coming in terms with her feelings, but what if he misunderstands what she's doing." Karina says.
"Yeah, I kinda feel bad for him. I hope he never has to find out that she only dated him because she had the fear of missing out. Ningning is the biggest fomo, she really needs to know that sometimes it's ok to be missing out on things." Winter whines.

He ends his eavesdropping there as he walks off. Not wanting to hear anymore.
One part of him felt a bit hurt, yet another part felt confused.

All this time he thought that she wanted to try dating him because she didn't have any experience. Not because she felt left out that her other friends were in relationships and she wasn't.
Apart of him felt betrayed.
All this time he was genuine with his feelings towards her. He was even a bit happy when she asked him out because prior to them dating, he had developed a small crush on her.
All this time, was she not genuine? Is that why she's avoiding him?

Keyu opens the door as he enters the car. The lad seeing as his friend was already sat by the passengers seat.

"What took you so long dude? Did you forget where you parked your own car?" Jake asks him as Keyu started the car.
"Haha, after I was done using the restroom, I realised that I forgot my phone in the classroom, so I went back." He lets out a lie before flashing him a sad smile.
"Ugh, you and your short term memory." His friend utters.

"By the way Keyu. I just realised that ever since two weeks ago, you've stopped wearing your glasses. Honestly, I don't know how that didn't even cross my mind sooner. Why'd you stop wearing them all of a sudden." Jake decided to ask him this question out of the blue.
"Oh. I started wearing contacts. Can't always rely on them. Plus my older brother dropped my glasses and it broke, so now I need to get a new pair." He answers. Though he was partially telling the truth, Keyu didn't bother to mention to Jake the fact that he stopped wearing them because Ningning likes it when he's not wearing them all the time.
