it happened perfectly and so naturally;
and those i swore i wouldn’t do,
i did them all and yet i never knew.
i realized it only lately, you see,
i’ve done it unintentionally and unexpectedly;
so self, i owe you this apology long past due,
for all i have done, both old and new.
