31. A Ray from Past..

1st happy Guru Nanak jayanti. May Guru Nanak ji bless you all with good health and prosperity.

2nd... I know I'm not worthy of apologizing. But still I am sorry. It took more than a month to publish this chapter.

I was really so so busy at my own work. And for me that was more important than writing. As writing is just my hobby. But what I'm doing right now is my passion.

My exams just got over day before yesterday and next exams are after next week.

So I will try to publish 3 or 4 chapters this week.

" What you just said.. ?" Fai raised her voice at her and she flinched at her pitch.... Vimesh, Maushi, Ba and Fufa ji were not here to handle Fai.... i palmed my mouth as Fai held her arm tightly.. almost shaking her....

" Fai ," I and Rashi stepped ahead ....

" you both stay away from us.... it's the matter of our house.. you both have no right to interrupt in between..." we gasped the way she was looking at us...

" And you..... the good for nothing wife of my Son... what you just said... to say sorry to her.... 1st tell me who the hell you are to me, why should even i listen to you.... what have you bring to my house after wedding... just nothing.... not even a single gold chain for my son.... dowry is a far away thing... " saying this she almost pushed her..... but someone hold her before she could fall..... as i looked at the face relief washed over my face.... Ved was holding her... preventing her from falling...  Manjhi's eyes were damped with tears.... she was shaking badly and crying like hell....

We reached her and hugged her trying to calm her....

" please calm down Manjhi.... crying this much is not good for your baby... please calm down... " Rashi said rubbing her back.... to calm her....

I was standing just beside Shree and was hearing the bitter words of that lady.... her behaviour is like this just because she didn't give her dowry.. ?... ridiculous...

I was about to leave when i heard the girl Manjhi almost screaming... i heard anklets and stepped ahead and captured her.... i don't know myself, that how my reflexes worked at this moment... i captured her by her arms... she was shaking miserably... soon Shree and Rashi came to calm her... i stepped back and turned towards Thambi,, i whispered something in his ear...

" Are you serious Anna.. ?" he asked in disbelief... i nodded he replied  yes and went away...

Now i stepped towards the lady... to whom My Baby calls... Fai...

I locked my hands at my back standing straight in front of her...

" So the reason for your bitter behaviour towards her is.... Dowry,..?..." i raised my right eyebrow....

But I didn't get any answer.... i know she is still here, i can hear her heavy breaths due to yelling at that petite girl...

" Answer me... " i said... in calmness...

But still no answer, but instead i heard a chuckle.... hitting my nerves.

I stretched my neck left and right....  poked my inner cheeks with my tongue to not burst out..... after all at the end she is family... but did she take care of her position..???... NOO... !!... THEN WHY SHOULD I ... ? hun...
