"The unforgivable sin, turns into a wound that will never fade for all eternity. Now, suddenly shot down from heaven, an arrow of judgement will be her death sentence!"

Marius has had enough. This had to stop. No more. Putting his gun aside, he towered above the dying Eponine. "May God have mercy on you", he sneered. Pathetic humans. This is what she wanted? A mistake that He made.

"EPONINE!!" yelled a familiar, yet unknown, voice. Marius turned to see...

"En.. jol... ras", Eponine weakly called.

Marius widen his eyes. No... it cannot be. Why would...

"What have you done?" the stranger asks again. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!"

Marius remained silent. Too many thoughts inside his head. Except, that did not stop him from expressing what was kept in his heart for too long. "What I have done?! Shouldn't you be asking the same for yourself? Now you pay with your dear lover's life"

The sky above was clouding over with some very threatening dark clouds, which appeared to be approaching at alarming speed. Suddenly, a bolt of lightning struck upon Marius. "ARGH!!"

Marius fell on all four in agony, his breathing irregular. His once snowy wings were charred and burnt. Slowly, each of his feathers fall. "You promised me... you promised to never leave..."

"If this shall be my fate", a web of cracks ruptured beneath him, "then so be it".

Marius stared off into the young man's eyes, with his final thought as he smiled. Even as a man, you still have your beautiful, dainty blue eyes. Forgive me.

Observing the situation, the young stranger began to worry. "Marius?"

Marius closed his eyes, as he accepted his judgement. With one final crack, the earth engulfed him in flames and blood. "Marius, no!" But it was too late. There was no saving him now.

And Enjolras should know this.

*******************************************

He knew this. After all, it was his awaiting judgement as well. However, with the help of the... other guy, he was able to avoid his verdict and be reunited with Eponine.

Eponine...

He immediately retreated back to her.

He cradled her on his lap, with his hands clutching onto her face. "Eponine"

Eponine sputtered blood from her mouth. "I'm sorry... I- I should have stayed at home...'

"No, it's not your fault, Eponine", Enjolras cried. Moments passed, until finally the rain, and the tears that were held back, cascaded down from the heavens upon the earth.

Eponine willed all her remaining strength to hold her lover."What is wrong, M'sieur? Why are you c-..crying? Don't you fret... I- I don't feel any pain. A little rain couldn't hurt me, now can it?"

Enjolras chuckled. "No, it won't.... But if there's a god above... If I could heal your wounds with love, Eponine"

Eponine simply shushed him, eyes fluttering."Just hold me now... and let it be, Enjolras... Don't you know... that rain... will make... the flo... wer..."

The hand that held his face promptly descended. Now, she sleeps with peace knowing that she had died in the arms of a person that finally loved her back.

"Eponine?" Enjolras called. "No... no, please no... Eponine!"

It was no use stopping them now. So, with admittance, Enjolras permitted his tears to muster out everything inside of him. It's the end now.

No...

He stopped.

What?

There is a way...

Enjolras could try. Yet it would only mean for them to be separated once more.

What choice do you have? It's the only way of saving her...

Enjolras pondered. If I must... for her...

Pushing away stray strands from her now porcelain face, Enjolras placed a small kiss upon her forehead. "My dear, lying cold..."

"I will spend all my life for you as I swore on that day... my sin against God... it should not have been you... All my acts of treachery should be paid by my death..."

Enjolras courageously looked up to the skies, unbeknownst of the unexplained possibility as Eponine carefully opened her eyes, as if she had awaken from slumber.

Enjolras?

"So I will die for you"

What?

"I believe..." Enjolras closed his eyes, as he beamed. With a sigh, he turned his head back to Eponine, tears falling like precious pearls, "that's my fate..."

And as Eponine regained her life back, she notices a change in Enjolras. His features were suddenly more feminine. Hair, already spun of gold, became lighter and bright, and long. Enjolras had inexplicably looked like... "Elise?"

Elise smiled. Alas, her smile could not prevent the unaccountable fracture on her face, making it look like she were made out of glass. "Cosette..." she confessed, "My real name is Cosette... Goodbye... Eponine..."

KSHH!

And in her place, was a single black feather.
