(Y/n)'s POV:

-- Extra #1:

I sighed, spinning a pen between my fingers as I waited for Shin to finally react to my provocation. "Say, Shinny boy…" I trailed off, flashing him a teasing grin.

He immediately frowned, his usual calm breaking just enough for an irritated look to sneak through. "Can you stop calling me that? It's annoying."

"Oh, come on, it suits you!" I smirked, leaning in a bit. "Besides, aren’t we friends? Or are you too serious for a little nickname?"

Shin's eye twitched. "You’ve got a lot of nerve talking about nicknames when half the time I can’t decide if you’re joking or just messing with me."

I laughed, and without missing a beat, threw a challenge at him. "Fine then, Mr. Clairvoyant. Bet I could beat you in any game."

"Oh, you’re on." He straightened up, ready to show me up.

Just as we were setting up for our showdown, Heisuke and Lu wandered in, picking up on the tension. "Whoa, what’s going on here?" Heisuke asked, clearly intrigued.

"Game? Are you two going to have a duel?" Lu said with a smirk.

"Perfect timing!" I said. "Why don’t you two join in? We’ll play the old classic—Loser has to do whatever the winners say!"

They exchanged looks, and before we knew it, Lu had introduced us to an over-the-top, complex card game that was all strategy, bluffing, and fast hands. It was the kind of game that started as a 'friendly' match but soon turned into a full-on mental battle, reminiscent of those ridiculous competitions where the stakes felt way higher than they should.

"Bring it on!" I grinned, barely keeping my composure as the table turned into a battlefield of ridiculous card game rules.

Lu was all smiles as she taught us this intricate family game she swore was easy. Spoiler: It wasn’t. She shuffled the deck and explained the rules, her cheerful tone somehow making them sound both absurd and intense. "Okay, so first you gotta roll this die, but only if you’ve got an even card. If not, you skip a turn unless you have a ‘Wild Draw,’ in which case…" She paused, glancing at each of us. "Are you all paying attention?"

We exchanged helpless looks. Even Shin, the ever-composed clairvoyant, looked lost. "Are… are we supposed to remember all of this?" he muttered, side-eyeing me like he was already regretting the challenge.

Heisuke, meanwhile, was focused on something entirely different. "Hey, uh… is this one of those games where you get snacks if you win?" he asked, completely serious.

Lu looked horrified. "No! The winner gets respect. Now focus up!" She slammed the deck down with more intensity than I’d ever seen from her, making Heisuke nearly jump out of his seat.

Finally, the game began. Shin went first, naturally trying to overanalyze the cards in his hand like they were part of some life-or-death strategy. "Alright, if I play this here… and then that there…" He muttered to himself, his eyes narrowing in fierce concentration. In an anime, this would’ve been when intense music swelled and the screen split into rapid close-ups. But all he managed to do was put down a card with a triumphant look—only to realize it had no effect on anyone. Lu laughed so hard she nearly fell out of her chair, and I shot him a smug grin.

"No reading minds, Shin... Focus on the game~ Welp! That’s one point for me then!" I declared, throwing down a 'Wild Draw' and adding more rules just to mess with him. "And since I’m in the lead, you both have to… stare at Heisuke’s drawings for the next round!"
