Max, sitting on his bed, heard a knock at the front door.
He opens it, and standing there, is his girlfriend, Allison Watts.
She comforts Max, knowing that this is the right thing to do in her boyfriend's time of need due to the situation he was experiencing.
They then sat down on the couch together.
Max told Allison about what's been going on with him and the public.
She understands, and the two share a kiss.
Allison is aware of Venom's nature, as while she took science class, she did research on symbiotic relationships.
After they left the house, Max and Allison went to The Salem News, and they noticed some sheets of paper.
They read "1: Make Max look bad, resulting in him getting sent to juvie. 2: Win a Pullitzer Prize and go down in history as the man who succeeded in bringing Max down a peg."
The duo give it to Eddie's boss, Mark Pakintin, who is fair-skinned, has red hair, green eyes, and wears a suit and tie.
He thanks the two, and decides to call in Eddie the minute he arrived.
Six minutes after Max Dennison and Allison Watts left, Eddie Brock returned to his office, but was called into Mark's office.
He entered, with so much anxiety.
After Mark went over what Eddie had written, he tossed the sheets of paper to the floor out of fury.
"I want you to pack your things and leave." Mark snarled, speaking with tones of anger.
"Sir, I have always hated that Dennison..." Eddie spoke, attempting to justify his deed.
"YOU'RE FIRED!" Mark screamed in fury.
Eddie felt disheartened at losing his job, walking away in shame over his deeds being exposed, all the while a retraction was printed.
After returning home, he drunk 2 bottles of Miller Lite beer in an attempt to drown out his sadness over what had just happened.
At Max's house, Dave got the newspaper. The headline reading "Liar liar fired. Max Dennison cleared of charges."
Max was happy upon hearing this news. He zoned in an the words "After Max and his girlfriend Allison laid the sheets of paper on Mark Pakintin, the situation was brought to light, and Brock was promptly fired as a result."
Allison gave Max a small kiss on the left cheek, then she left.
"Max and Allison, sitting in a tree." Dani said in a sing-song tone, which embarrassed Max to the point of anger as Venom takes over, resulting in him beating up Dani so hard she ended up getting bruised and battered
Emily approaches, concerned for her adoptive brother.
"Max, even though you hurt Dani, I know you didn't do it willingly. That symbiote is doing it to you. I suggest you get if off of you." she added.
"The only things that can hurt a symbiote are heat and loud noises. So Emily, I think that you should play on my drums." he added.
"But you never let Dani play on them. Why make an exception for me?" she asked, confused.
"It's just this once." Max commented.
They went to the bedroom as Dave and Jenny Dennison went to try and help Dani.
As Emily was playing on her adoptive brother's drums, Max struggled to get Venom off of him, even going so far as to ripping the left sleeve of his coat off, which tried to regenerate.
Max knew that it would be grueling to get Venom off of him.
At the same time, Eddie Brock was taking a walk, and heard Max's screams, happy at his pain.
After slamming his fists on the windowsill, Venom went off of Max, and slithered off, much to his relief.
However, Venom had already located a new host, Eddie Brock.
It attached itself to him, where Eddie screamed in agony until going down to one knee, where he showed an evil grin, all the while Venom began to take over him.
Then, Venom let out a loud roar.
