Y/n has always been close to Percy, Annabeth, and Grover—they’re like the family she’s never had. For a moment, Y/n’s confidence wavers. Memories flood her mind—nights spent laughing around campfires, adventures shared, promises made. Luke’s hand in hers steadies her, and she declares, with a hint of sorrow, that Luke is the one who truly understands her. He’s given her the freedom to choose her path and respects her in a way they never have.

Luke watches her with pride and gratitude, calling her his truest ally. He affirms that he and Y/n share a connection deeper than any loyalty her friends claim to have, and Y/n echoes his sentiment, a faint sadness in her eyes. Seeing this, Grover, Annabeth, and Clarisse step back, realizing there’s nothing more they can say to reach her.

Finally, Percy, refusing to give up, draws Riptide, charging at them. With quick reflexes, Luke pulls Y/n close, evading Percy’s strike as they make their escape. They vanish, leaving Percy standing there, defeated, his heart heavy with grief and confusion.

Luke takes Y/n far away, bringing her to a place he promises will be safe—a haven for just the two of them. As they stand together, Y/n’s heart races, filled with excitement yet tinged with guilt and uncertainty. Sensing this, Luke embraces her, reassuring her that they’ve made the right choice and are stronger together than alone. As he gives her a gentle, heartfelt kiss, she finally lets her defenses fall, determined to start a new life with him, away from the shadows of her past.
