────୨ৎ──── Y/N's POV

Before I knew it, I was half way through my second year at Jujutsu High. My life had really been going great: I was surrounded by most favorite people in the world and I had an amazing boyfriend.

I had been training intensively over the past few months, aiming to get even stronger. I had always been a perfectionist ever since I was little, but it came with a cost: I never felt like I was enough.

So despite my already extremely strong abilities: I needed to be better.

So I trained and trained, over and over again, until my body couldn't take it anymore. Honestly, it did work. I had fully mastered my blood manipulation technique, and I even invented some of my own extension techniques.

I was literally untouchable. I would even say I was in my prime if it weren't for my Timeless technique. It really was a difficult thing to master. I mean, sure I had gotten better at using it, but I still hadn't reached its full potential.

I had heard news of some sorcerer in Belgium who had mastered the technique, but Germany was a long way from Japan. Frankly, I don't think I'd ever fly that far away from here. Especially not when everything I'd ever need is right here. So, that idea was definitely out of the question.

Besides, I didn't exactly need my Timeless technique to be strong. Even with my Blood Manipulation technique alone, I was still powerful.

'Though, not as much as Satoru Gojo.'

Shut up. My brain had a stupid way of thinking. Comparison is the thief of joy. He's my boyfriend and we should be happily strong together. But the thought just can't seem to leave my mind...

"I've got a mission for you, Y/N." Sensei Yaga informed me while we sat in his office.

"Just me?" I asked. "What about the others?" I said as my curiosity grew.

"This is a special mission just for you." he says, sliding a sheet of paper towards me.

The sheet contained information about the curse I was about to take on.

"It's a first-grade, but I'm sure you can handle it considering you're quite close to becoming a special grade." He spews as I analyse the piece of paper.

'Ability to utilise the future'

"Is it like my Timeless technique?" I asked after seeing those words.

"Somewhat similar. I think you could learn a few things from it, that's why this mission is just for you." the nonchalant teacher confessed.

"I see. Thank you, Sensei." I said whilst I got up from the seat. "See you in a bit" I bid, simultaneously walking out the door with the piece of paper still in my hand.

"Future techniques, huh? This is going to be interesting..." I said to myself while I walked down the hall.

As I continued down the hallway, I noticed two familiar faces standing outside the window.

"Senpai!" The brunette boy called out while his blonde best friend stood next to him.

I waved to the pair. They were both first-years who my group had recently became friends with. It was natural for us to befriend upperclassmen and underclassmen due to the fact that there tends to not be a lot of students in each grade. After all, Jujutsu High was  a prestigious sorcery school, only for those who were strong enough.

The cheerful brunette was Yu Haibara and the calm blonde one was his best friend, Kento Nanami. It still amazed me how the two become so close, considering how different they were. Haibara was like a ray of sunshine who spread his warmth with everyone else, Nanami included.
