Male/Wednesday
At Nevermore Academy, outcasts have a place-except for Laila.
With her bright red hair and soft-spoken nature, she's deemed "too strange" for the strange, and no one knows where she came from or what she is.
Wednesday, the academy'...

ENID OPENED THE DOORS THAT led to the quad in the middle of the school, where most of the students were gathered,"Welcome to the quad," she announced to him with a smile.
Wednesday observed the area and remarked expressionless, "It's a pentagram." He was correct, the quad was indeed shaped like a pentagram.
Enid, pissed off, because of his attitude, responded, "The whole snarky goth guy thing might have worked at normie school, but here things are different. Let me give you a wiki on Nevermore's social scene."
Without glancing at her, Wednesday replied, "I'm not interested in participating in tribal adolescent clichés." Seeing her pushing look, he sighed and said, "Fine. Go ahead."
Enid smiled, and the atmosphere returned, "There are many flavors of outcasts here, but four main cliques: Fangs, Furs, Stoners, and Scales." She pointed to a group of students wearing sunglasses and drinking blood,"Those are the Fangs, aka vampires. Some of them have been here for decades, and I don't understand why they would do that."
"That bunch of knuckleheads are Furs, AKA werewolves. Like me!" The group saw Enid and started to howl. "Full moons get pretty loud around here. That's when Furs wolf out. I suggest you pick up noise-canceling headphones."
"I'm assuming Scales are sirens?", Wednesday asked as he followed Enid's eyes.
Enid nodded, "You catch on quick. And that girl, Bianca Barclay, is the closest thing Nevermore has to royalty."
Bianca danced her hand in the water, scales forming on her skin as she gracefully moved it in the cold water.
Wednesday looked at her, curious, before Enid continued, "She used to date our resident artist, Xavier Thorpe, who has a crush on our outcast. But Bianca and he broke up at the beginning of the semester.
"Fascniating."
Enid cleared her throat and got closer closer, her tone dropping conspiratorially,"And then there's—Laila." She nodded subtly toward a figure standing alone near the window, a girl with bright red hair who seemed wrapped in her own quiet world, a book in her hand.
Wednesday followed Enid's gaze, his eyes narrowing as he observed the girl from a distance. He stared at her and couldn't understand how a person could dye their hair in such a color—even if he admits that the color is not that bad.
"She's —sort of an enigma," Enid whispered, glancing back at Wednesday. "No one knows where she's from and she won't say a word about it. She's— so weird, even by Nevermore standards."
Enid hesitated, as if debating how much more to reveal,"People are a little afraid of her—I think. She's quiet, always keeping to herself. But honestly, I think she's just so lonely."
Wednesday watched Laila for a moment longer, the beginnings of curiosity sparking in his dark gaze. He didn't know what to make of her yet, but he intended to find out. For some reason, he needed to find out.
WALKING TO HIS DORM, THE addams boy slowed as he saw bright red hair sitting on the floor by a door, her eyes focused on the book in her hands—hence why she didn't notice it. He stared at her, not seeing her entire face, making him narrow his eyes.
"Hello to you too.", her voice called out to him as she merely turned the page of her book.
Wednesday didn't know how to react as a shiver went down his spine at her soothing and soft voice. "Hello."
"You are new here, aren't you?", the girl continue to question.
"I think it's immensely inappropriate to start a conversation without looking at them.", Wednesday retorted as he stopped walking altogether, simply looking at this redhaired girl.
A sigh escaped her as she closed her lips, jumping up and turning to the boy. Wednesday felt his breath hitch as he stared into her brown doe eyes, wandering from her pointed nose to her pouty red coated lips. She was—a beautiful creature he couldn't lie.
"I am Laila.", she introduced herself to him, holding her book against her chest.
"Wednesday.", the tall boy responded, making Laila raise an eyebrow.
"Interesting.", she nodded, before pulling out a key out of her pocket. She turned to the door and started to unlock it.
Wednesday frowned at her actions, not understanding why she is leaving and questioned,"Is this your dorm?"
Laila glanced at the boy and nodded,"Yours is opposite to mine, I reckon?"
The Addams boy nodded at her and stared at her in silence, not understanding how he couldn't even look away from her.
"Why are you talking to me?"
Wednesday blinked furiously at her and asked,"What?"
Laila sighed and turned towards the boy,"I know our neighbour here informed you about me. 'Oh Laila, she is such a weirdo.' So why are you talking to me?"
The boy frowned a bit and shrugged,"I like to make my own judgement."
"And what is yours?", she leaned against the door, a now amused expression on her face as she stared at the taller boy.
"I think I need to know more about you or see you more to make a conclusion.", he retorted, making Laila snort. "What?"
"If you hang with me, people will deem you as another freak here like me.", she explained, certainly a bit amused by her peers opinions.
"Oh—I would hang with you.", Wednesday smirked as he stared at the girl, meaning the word hang in a complete different context than she did.
A quiet laugh escaped her lips as she shook her head. She titled her head at the boy,"Well then I will see you tomorrow." With that, she walked into the room, closing the door behind her.
Wednesday was confused—he didn't know what possessed him to flirt with her or why he couldn't read her at all. With the other people he met here, he knew what kind of people they were. But Laila—she was his own little mystery from now own.
While laying in bed, he couldn't get these big, brown eyes out of his head.
