Male/Wednesday
At Nevermore Academy, outcasts have a place-except for Laila.
With her bright red hair and soft-spoken nature, she's deemed "too strange" for the strange, and no one knows where she came from or what she is.
Wednesday, the academy'...

"YOU HAVE POWERS.", WEDNESDAY started as he looked at her, he was sitting on a chair by his desk as she laid on his bed, her eyes on the ceiling. He only received a hum, making him huff. "What can you do?"
"Name me anything that comes in your mind.", she simply stated, not looking at him.
"You can make yourself invisible.", he stated and with a snap, he looked at his now empty bed. Another snap was heard and there she sat on his desk right in front of him. "That's—astounding."
"Not be bragging, but that's only a small perk of my powers.", the girl teased with a small smirk as Wednesday turned his chair closer, looking up at her.
"Fire.", he added, making her held her palm up, flames licking her skin. Wednesday looked amazed at the flames, they didn't even burn her. "What else?"
"You want me to reveal all my secrets to you, huh?", Laila teased as she looked at him,"You can't tell anyone."
Without any hesitation, the boy replied,"I wouldn't even think of telling a soul about your abilities."
A small smile grazed her lips as she leaned down,"Boo!" Wednesday flinched and saw her back on the bed now.
Amazement clouded the boy's feature,"You can teleport yourself around?"
Laila closed her eyes, before she sat on the desk in front of the boy again. "Yeah—where I am from, some people have abilities, just not as many as me."
"That's why you are here.", the boy concluded as he put his forearms on the desk, caging her legs.
Laila solemnly nodded,"Some people would like to use me for them. My family—has made some mistakes, so when they discovered I have these powers, they banned me from my own country, thinking I would avenge my family."
Anger flashed in Wednesday's eyes as he tensed,"Who banned you?"
"My aunt.", the girl shrugged, making Wednesday look at her ridiculed. She chuckled at his expression,"I haven't seen my country since then, I never even met my mother to begin with."
"Where are you from?", he asked curiously, not knowing where things like banning someone still existed.
Laila leaned down,"I swear if you mutter a word about this, I will personally make sure you are not here anymore, despite liking you."
Wednesday narrowed his eyes at her, ignoring the immense warmth he felt at her proximity,"I won't risk losing you, puppy, I just found you."
The girl's expression softened as she sighed,"Heard of Wonderland before?"
The Addams boy frowned,"Like Alice in Wonderland?"
A scoff escaped her lips as she seethed mockingly,"I hate that girl, a normie destined to save wonderland from the evil red queen."
Wednesday stared at her, looking at her red hair to her strange looking necklace, which he didn't notice before. Realisation hit him— Her aunt banned her. She never met her mother. She mocked the saviour? "You are her daughter. From the red queen."
Laila nodded at the boy, proud that he figured it out that quick,"Princess of Wonderland at your service—or maybe I was the princess."
Wednesday couldn't hide his amazement as he asked,"What is it like? Like in the books?"
"It's even more amazing.", Laila whispered, her eyes clouding over as she pictured her home in her mind,"The flowers and trees have a mind of their own, the animals can talk, it's—magical. The people are always celebrating, dancing, music." A frown overtook her features,"—but not with me, I had my share of friends there, but the rest feared me because of my mother."
"It sounds enchanting.", Wednesday muttered softly, unknowingly to him, caressing her thigh in comfort as he saw the sadness on her face. "You will go there again."
A scoff escaped her lips,"If I get caught being in my own fucking country, they will lock me in like they did with my mother."
Wednesday stayed silent, not knowing what to say. He couldn't relate how it must feel like, to be shoved away by his own family, how to get banned out of his own home—he wouldn't even want to imagine that. "I am sorry, puppy, but where are you staying when the semesters are over?"
"I am here and about.", she shrugged,"From motel to motel."
Anger crept up his spine,"I won't let that happen. I will talk to my parents, you could always stay at mine with me."
Laila looked down on him and held her face between his hands,"And yet you claim to not be cute."
He looked up at her, with adoring eyes as he caressed her hands that were on his face. He was never the affectionate type, but Laila drew him in like no other and he wanted to be touched by her for the rest of his damned life, no matter what. "Cara mia.", he mumbled under his breath, studying her face to memorise it, engrave it into his head forever.
"You can't tell anyone about this. People would shun me even more if they know where I am from and I would be the biggest freak.", she pleaded as she looked into his dark eyes.
Wednesday shook his head,"You shouldn't care about what they think of you, because for me, you are the most beautiful girl I ever laid my eyes on, mon bébé."
Laila's smile turned teasingly,"Mon bébé, eh?"
"Mon bébé."
"You are quiet the possessive type, aren't you?", she questioned with a titled head.
He snarked his arms around her back, just inching her a bit closer,"I do think I am—is that a problem?"
She looked down on him and shook her head slowly,"No."
"Well, that's a good thing, because something inside of me tells me to not let you go.", he admitted as he stared into her honey brown eyes.
"Then don't.", she whispered, feeling a homey feeling she never experienced before and she never wanted to leave.
"I won't."
Laila's eyes lit up as a idea hit her,"Do you want to see another power of mine?" Receiving an excited nod, she held out her hand,"Trust me?"
Without hesitation, Wednesday placed his hand into her as she mumbled,"I can show you Wonderland through my memories."
"You can do that?"
"Do you want to?", she asked and the boy nodded and was pulled into a dream like vision.
