—– I'm going to put on my pajamas; it's already getting dark— laughed Ryujin once she closed the door of her house. —I'll be right back, Yeji.— The girl nodded as she watched her leave quickly.
Yeji sighed with a smile, watching her so happy, and frowned when she realized she was smiling. She went to the kitchen to grab the ice cream she had bought, also noticing that she had bought ice cream and cookies for Ryujin. She shook her head, trying to brush aside any thoughts involving Ryujin, but now, she could only think about her—maybe because of the trust Ryujin had given her, maybe because of certain moments they had shared... she really didn't know.
—Are you going to watch the movie in those clothes?— Ryujin laughed, appearing in the kitchen. —With your overalls and little white shoes— she laughed again. Yeji blinked several times, smiling. Was this the same woman who was indifferent about crashing her car?
—Yes, it's very comfortable— she chuckled a bit. —Look, ice cream— she laughed again, handing her a cup of chocolate ice cream with cookies.
—Thank you so much, Yeji— Ryujin smiled, taking the cup. —I already put the movie on. Come or it'll start, and you won't understand it— she laughed, walking to the living room. Anyway, they wouldn't be watching the movie. Yeji nodded, picking up her own cup to follow her to the dark living room, lit only by the TV.
—What are we watching?— Yeji asked as she sat next to her on the couch.
—This movie— Ryujin replied, raising the volume on the TV with the remote, —is about couples and love— she laughed, setting the remote aside, —like what we're going to talk about tonight— she said, glancing at Yeji.
—Of course— Yeji chuckled, remembering the real reason they were there. —Well, I can start with when we were going to get married. Niki really seemed excited— she began, trying to keep her eyes on Ryujin, who watched her intently while eating her ice cream. —We met in school and fell in love in high school. I gave up everything for him— she sighed a bit, feeling hurt. —We were going to get married and start a family—that was my new dream.— Ryujin smiled a little. —When he didn't show up at the church, my world fell apart. I cried a lot... and I did it alone. I had no friends— she shrugged. —I went through that moment alone, and when I wanted to cry on a shoulder, all I saw were people's backs.—
—I understand— Ryujin whispered. —I completely understand what you mean.— Yeji nodded.
—So when that happened, I just decided to stop wasting time and study— she sighed. —I wanted to be better than I ever was. To show Niki that I could have been his best decision.— Ryujin shook her head.
—You don't have to prove anything to anyone; you only need to prove things to yourself— Ryujin replied confidently. —When I started writing, no one believed in me, not even my parents. My biggest fans were Niki, Beomgyu, and Yuna— she chuckled a bit. —They're the only ones who've read my work.—
—Then I'm also your fan— Yeji said immediately. —Because we read Super Niki together. I'm your fan— she nodded with a smile.
—Thank you, Yeji— Ryujin nodded, blushing inevitably.
—You write wonderfully, truly— Yeji said sincerely. —Is there anything you're not good at?—
—Cooking— she laughed. —I think not even in an alternate universe would I know how to cook.—
—You can't be that bad— Yeji looked at her expectantly. Ryujin shrugged.
—Tomorrow at breakfast, you'll tell me how it is— she smiled after a few seconds, and Yeji nodded.
