Naomi, sitting quietly on her living room sofa with her pet cat Chloe, enjoyed the fresh air and sunlight streaming in through the open patio door. She was on her day off and decided to indulge in some reading. She had chosen a book about elephants, a topic she loved to learn about. Her father often said, "That's how you know more."
Last night, Naomi had a great time with her friend Kionne. After the car show, they went out to a nice steak restaurant. Naomi filled Kionne in on her life, and they laughed and gave each other advice until they were both exhausted. Kionne then dropped Naomi off, who lived only a short 9-minute drive away.
Feeling her phone vibrate next to her, she answered without hesitation.
"Hello?" Naomi said softly, yet curiously. She didn't usually call around this time.
"Yo, it's Big L," she heard the voice say, making her giggle.
"Big L? Hmm, I don't think I know anyone by that name," Naomi replied, recognizing the voice on the other end of the phone.
"What did you forget, a nigga that fast?" he questioned the woman quickly and somewhat harshly, making her turn her face up.
"Are you okay, Leandrew? And how did you even get my number?" she questioned curiously.
"I'm having a rough day, mama. Can I see you, please?" he asked softly, making her cross her legs. She loved when he talked softly to her.
"I'm not sure if it's appropriate for me to have a friendship or conversation with my client, Leandrew." She replied softly.
She knew Leandrew had been stopping by her house since yesterday. She had installed small cameras around her apartment, and she could tell he was interested in her from the way his eyes betrayed his feelings. She didn't want to push him away, afraid it might trigger something in him. She was also interested in him, but she didn't want to make things awkward.
"i want to spend time with you today & I'm not comfortable in your fucking office Naomi , i want you in my own personal space " He said this to her from the other end of the phone while looking at her location knowing she was home . He hadn't had any sleep due to her constantly clouding my mind and his constant nightmares.
