Incomplete.

( Bill's POV )

I stared at the journal.

Before, I would be extremely glad...? But now, I felt so different.

Shooting Star in exchange for this useless journal?

This is such an unfair deal.

Just then, I heard a voice.

"Now, now, why are you so sad? Isn't this what you want? Finally you can stop him from finding the author of the journals and spoiling you, you are now protected! So, why the long face?" the blue suit guy came up to me, making funny faces, obviously taunting me.

I decided not to reply. And he went on, enjoying it badly.

"Why now, how is this an unfair deal? You are now save! All that for a worthless girl! How is it not worth it?"

How could he insult her like that? I clenched my fists, holding it in.

I knew he could read my mind.

"She is useless! Just like a pawn in your game, after you have made use of her, so be it, it's over! Forget about her!" he sneered, looking at me.

"I'm returning the book back," I said quietly.

Oh, of course he heard it.

He slowly nodded his head.

"Well, wait and see, I will make sure she suffers for your childish doings," and with that, he left.

What did he mean by that?

( Dipper's POV )

Almost a week has since passed.

I have sensed that something is wrong with her. Well, I couldn't read her mind, but I know there was something going on. Mabel would just stone at any place, any time, even when we were talking.

One day, I decided to confront her about it. We were siblings, there was no such thing as awkwardness or anything of that sort..

I found her sitting on her bed, looking at my side of the room intensely. Her head was cocked at a side, she didn't even notice me coming in. I cleared my throat but she ignored me. It was only until when I stood in front of her did she notice me.

"Oh, hi Dipper." She said. I couldn't read her expression.

I sat beside her, eyes fixed on her face. Her mouth was half open and she didn't really care that I was looking at her so intensely. She seemed.. like she has lost something.

She looked at me, smiling a bit. "Yeah?"

"Are you okay?" I asked, concerned.

"yeah." She shrugged it off as quickly as it came. Looks like it was going to be hard for her to open up.

I asked again. "Are you okay?"

She looked at me this time, a bit annoyed. "Yes, Dipper, yes!"

I pressed on.

"Mabel it's obvious. Just tell me, we're twins aren't we?"

She looked ahead, avoiding my gaze.

"How can I be so chill when you aren't? Don't you know how worried I am about you?"

"Well, it's just that... it's just..." she faltered.

I kept quiet, waiting for her to go on.

"I am well, a bit jealous of the two of you. The two of you are so happy together, what about me? I am alone and sad.." she said, looking down.

I blushed, not knowing if she was lying or not. But her words did have some truth in them. How can she, dating queen, can be single? Well, it would do her some good to be with someone, won't it?

"Well, you have me at least," I said.

Wow Dipper, real smooth, wow.

She didn't reply.

Then, there were three quick knocks on the door. I mentally heaved a sigh of relief. It was getting a bit too awkward...

"Pacifica," I smiled.

She walked up to us, holding three ice cream sticks. One of them was my favourite, the vanilla flavoured with random chunks of chocolate inside. She looked at me and smiled, passing me my favourite. She gave the other to Mabel and one for herself and sat beside me.

"Thanks," we said in union.

There was a silence as we ate the ice cream. Suddenly Pacifica snatched my ice cream and took a bite. I laughed, playing along with her.

Then I recalled what Mabel said just now.

I cleared my throat, and Pacifica eyed me curiously.

"What's wrong Dip?" she asked. I gave her 'the look' and I think she kind of understood. I will tell her everything later.

"Well, anyway Mabel," she changed the topic, "There's a ball 2 days ahead. We can go together!" she squealed, and I smiled at how cute she looked.

"And meet a few boys," she looked at me, smirking.

I rolled my eyes playfully at her.

Then I realised that Mabel was still there. I stopped.

Pacifica seemed to notice and looked at Mabel. Probably waiting for her response.

"Sure! Why not?" she smiled. For a moment, she reminded me of her old self. I smiled, relieved.

( Mabel's POV )

I knew that he knew. It was quite obvious. But I couldn't help myself but just stare, I'm sorry!

When I saw Pacifica entering and talking about the ball, I felt excited for once. This was the perfect opportunity to get rid of such feelings for Bill, yes him.

I was adjusting  quickly to life now. in the day, I would play and have fun with these two people and at night Bill would show me wonders.

Although he himself was a wonder on his own.

We  would just sit somewhere, side by side, as he talked to me about never ending topics. No, I don't find him a nuisance. He gets so cute when he tries to remember something.

The catch is, we aren't real. Whenever I see Dipper and Pacifica, I feel jealous.

Very jealous.

I couldn't help it.

I needed a real boyfriend. Getting to lost in this fantasy in Bill isn't going to work out at all.

The ball was a perfect opportunity. I perked up when I heard 'boys'.

I know I sound desperate and hormonal. But I just feel so jealous of their bliss...

"Oh right," I spoke again and Dipper stared at me as I continued.

I stood up, walked over to his bed, and took out the journal.

Journal 3.

He was amazed for a moment as he stood up. He took the book from my hands, gingerly looking through every  page.

"Is- is this the real book? How did you get it?"

I shrugged.

"Wow, uh thanks, but I'm not really interested in this anymore, I mean, about Grunkle Stan..." he stopped. I nodded as I saw him place it back at the exact spot where I took it from.

I smiled. This way, no parties would be harmed.
