Chapter 12: Unveiling Secrets
The next day, Valtira materialized.
"Has he woken up?" she asked.Alawis shook her head.
Valtira nodded.
"You should give him time."
you need to rest,""Even in Hell, you need rest, Alawis."
Alawis responded flatly.
"No, I don't need to. He needs me."
Valtira's expression softened.
"Let's do this: I'll tell you everything about Hell, but first, freshen up."
Alawis rose from the bed, her movements mechanical.
Valtira led her to her room.
"Make yourself comfortable," Valtira said, sitting on the bed.
Alawis hurried to freshen up and returned, sitting beside Valtira.
Valtira began.
"Since you haven't rested, I'll answer three questions. Nothing forbidden or related to Lord Niel."
Alawis's voice remained flat.
"No need, Valtira. I think I should rest."
Valtira's eyes sparkled.
"We made a deal; I must fulfill my end."
"Fine, I'll tell you one thing about Lord Niel."
Alawis turned, her smile hinting at curiosity.
Her eyes glowed.
"I'm listening."
Valtira sighed.
"Lord Niel is one of Hell's most powerful demons, but he suffered a tragedy... His family was tortured and killed before his eyes when he was a child. It still haunts him."
Valtira's voice trembled.
She took a deep breath.
"That's enough for now. Don't forget to rest, Alawis."
Valtira vanished.
Alawis called out.
"Wait, who's responsible...?"
But Valtira was gone.
Alawis sighed.
"Poor guy."
Her heart ached for Niel.
