Iris wanted to turn back the time and never take the liberty of kissing Obi, she knew it was wrong, specially him being a Jedi and her a Sith apprentice. Them being together wouldn't work out, it was impossible as they would betray their principles and join the other. Now Iris was starting to see things clearly, she would sacrifice her dark side connection and be with him, but Obi-Wan wasn't willing to leave everything behind and be with a girl he barely knew and who didn't share her deepest thoughts with anybody.

When she woke up the bed was empty, Iris didn't remember if Obi-Wan even slept in that bed last night, making the situation increasingly tense. As she exited the bedroom, she saw Kira and Anakin packing the few belongings they managed to keep after the attack in Naboo; they looked so happy and so in love.

Deep inside Iris craved that feeling to have someone with whom she could be sincere and not be scared to share her secrets. Maybe she thought Obi-Wan could be a nice option but then she realised it had been a mistake. But she couldn't stop having feelings for him; the way he moved, talked and how he cared about her only made things worse.

"Hurry Iris, get your stuff and let's go towards the spaceship, Obi-Wan has already been there since sunrise." Anakin said while carrying his and Kira's luggage outside the hut.

Iris just nodded, but before they left Kira quickly approached her and said. " Is everything okay? Anakin told me that Obi-Wan was really strange when he left this morning..."

"Everything is fine, Kira, thanks for your concern. I have no idea what happened to Obi-Wan." Iris said, smiling while Kira relaxed and went outside.

"Great." Iris thought Obi-Wan was angry at her and the idea of them spending more time together started to have a bittersweet taste in Iris' mouth. She had to keep him away from those two but what was she going to be able to do if he didn't want to talk with her. While she thought about the next weeks, Iris picked up her belongings and walked for the last time into the hut. It was beautiful with all the warm tones of wood, it felt like a home and leaving it behind aroused in her melancholic feelings.

The walk to the spaceship was a bit long, it was necessary to cross a big part of the island in order to get to where it was. Iris also walked through the village, the memories of her arrival flooded her mind, like faking to be Obi-Wan's wife in order to get a place to sleep warmed her heart. She had been truly happy in those moments, she felt as if she belonged, but everything was ruined by the attack and the kiss.

Finally, Iris could see the spaceship on the sand, the wind slowly creating a breeze which messed up her hair a bit. When she arrived, Anakin gently took her luggage and placed it where the others were, then both of them went up the stairs and when they were inside Anakin closed the door, making sure it was sealed.

As they walked to the cockpit Iris' distress grew, Obi-Wan would be there, how would he react? It hadn't changed in any way, the metal walls were still the same and everything still felt like when they came after the attack. Anakin excused himself, he had to get something for Kira so he left her alone. Iris never paid attention to the sounds the spaceship made, mainly because she was always with someone, but listening to every metallic sound her foot beneath her made even more worried.

Iris finally saw it, the door which led into the cockpit, and her stomach sank. In order to jump into hyperspace everyone should be seated in the cockpit but Kira and Anakin were still in the back so she would be alone with him. She stood in front of the metal door, the only thing she had to do was press a button and then go in but her hand wasn't moving.

She might have been exaggerating, but what they did yesterday was wrong although she already began to understand her feelings. Iris was about to open the door but someone else was first and she felt someone bumping into her, clearly it was Obi-Wan. He was exiting at a fast pace and that made Iris lose her balance but before she could even touch the floor Obi-Wan quickly grabbed her by the waist and pulled her to his chest.
