I walked into the main room and sat on the table after picking up some juice.

"How was your sleep?" Caroline asked from the kitchen. Enzo walked into the room, heading towards the kitchen too as he took a glance at me.

"Pretty average I guess." I lied with a small shrug. I took a sip of my juice feeling eyes burning into the back of my head. I knew it was Enzo but decided not to acknowledge it. The silence was soon interrupted by my phone ringing. Once I saw who it was I sighed and ended the call.

"Who is it?" Caroline asked curiously.

"Jeremy." I muttered. She came over and sat next to me on the table.

"Then why did you end the call?" she continued. I stayed silent. She looked at Enzo before turning back to me. "Are you guys having problems?"

"I'm the only one with the problem here."

Jeremy's P.O.V.

"Here." Damon said, handing me an envelope.

I raised an eyebrow, taking it from him. "What is it?"

"A surprise." he spoke before walking away. I opened it up to see it was a handwritten letter and I recognised the handwriting straight away. Tilly. I smiled to myself before my eyes scanned the page.

Jeremy,

Ever since I've turned everything has been feeling strange and things have been stronger, one of those things being my emotions. I have realised how much you mean to me and I could never picture myself without you in my life... That's why this can't carry on. I love you too much to risk your life and even though we are miles away, there is a possibility of me hurting you after. I am seeing everything in a different light now and I want to take that for granted. I'm sorry but you need to understand me. If you loved me just as much I love you then you would know this is for the best. We can still see each other all the time because like I said, I can't picture you not in my life. I just think we should be separate. I'm sorry but remember I will always love you.

Tilly x

By the end of the letter tears were in my eyes. My jaw clenched in anger and disappointment as I balled my hands into fists, screwing the paper up on the way. I didn't want to believe it. I didn't want to believe that Tilly was ending it with me because of her vampirism. I knew she could fight through it, she just needed help. I'm not going to give up on her that easily.

Wiping away some more stray tears, I grabbed my phone and dialled Tilly's number. It rang a few times before her voicemail came up. I groaned, slamming my phone back onto the table.

"Hey!" I heard Damon exclaim. He looked frustrated. "That is expensive wood. Slam your phone down on my table one more time and I'll slam your head into a car door."

"Whatever." I mumbled, rolling my eyes and walking past him, my shoulder hitting his in the process.

I had no time for him.

Elena's P.O.V.

I walked into the house just as Jeremy stormed away up the stairs.

"Is he ok?" I asked Damon as  came into the main room.

"He's never really been ok." he answered. I gave him a serious look making him stop his immaturity. "I don't know. he's just acting really moody all of a sudden."

I nodded. "Maybe I should go talk to him." I suggested.

"Good luck. He doesn't really look like he's in the right zone of mind, if you know what I mean." Damon said before spinning his finger around next to his ear, gesturing craziness.
