I sighed, looking at the bars. I have been locked in here for a week and the only blood source they give me is a tiny cup full 3 times a week. It was practically a shot. I was sleepy all the time and I felt dirty. My clothes had old blood and sweat stains on them and my stomach was always growling. I soon saw someone walk up and open up my cell, it squeaking from its former rusting. I slowly looked up to see someone standing next to Chris.

"You're new." I mumbled. The guy walked up to me as Chris waited outside of the cell, staring at he both of us.

"I'm Danny." he told me.

"Pleasure." I smiled fakely.

"I've been in this business for years meaning I've heard enough sarcasm."

"Good to know." I felt like asking him about Damon and Enzo but I decided not to. I didn't want to risk their lives. "How do you guys know each other?"

"He's my dad." Chris replied.

I weakly chuckled. "Like father, like son."

"Exactly." he responded. Danny then grabbed hold of my arm and pulled me up. "Up you get."

I stumbled to my feet. He slowly walked me over to the other room and layed me down on an operating table. He pulled on his gloves and stared at me.

"I need to test if vampires have evolved 40 years. Do they still feel pain?" Danny questioned.

I gulped nervously. Yes, we did. And I had a feeling I was going to experience it.

He took a small hammer from the side.

"So if a person was to be running around, playing soccer for example, but all of a sudden they break their leg, that would hurt them, right?"

I stayed silent, waiting for the impact.

Enzo's P.O.V.

It's been a week and we have had no hope in getting Tilly back. I missed her like hell. I was walking down the street with Stefan and Caroline when I stopped and fell to the ground, groaning in pain.

"Enzo!" Caroline exclaimed, coming down to my side.

"No. It's fine." I said, shrugging it off. "Only a broken leg." It soon cleared up and I stood back up again.

"So you say this witch's house is here?" Stefan asked as we came to a hault at an abandoned street.

"According to Katherine, yes." Caroline answered.

I rolled my eyes. "And why on Earth would you believe her?" I said. "There's not a house in sight."

"Urgh! I'm so gullable!" Caroline groaned, turning around to leave.

"Wait." Stefan suddenly said, stopping us. "I've seen something like this before." He then bent down and grabbed a log lying about. He then threw it into the distance with obviously hit something but it was invisible. It then turned visible.

"Katherine wasn't lying after all." I muttered, walking towards the house with Stefan and Caroline following behind me.

I knocked on the door and after a while it finally opened. A woman stared at us.

"Hello? she asked cautiously.

"Um, hey. I'm Caroline." she smiled, holding out her hand however the woman just stared at it in disgust.

"I don't care who you are."

"Wow... you're definitely friends with Katherine..." Caroline muttered.
